Unlike the rouge forces that were deep within covenant waters. The infinity flew thousands of feet into the air, making it almost impossible to infiltrate by ordinary means which meant someone had to use unordinary means to get there.

Such as 4-D travel.

The Three knights, each customized with a decent amount of parts of the Convenient, Forerunner, and UNSC. Appeared one by one, in the far corners of a rather secluded area of the large interstellar vessel. Each one in a different room adjacent to the other.

Commencing operation: Knockout

All at once, the three modified Knights went to work. Immediately breaking through the walls that hid them and attacking anyone unlucky enough to stand in these monsters' way.

Chief Pov.

"We aren't leaving him"

"John, he's spent years on this planet. Alone with the animals, if his mind isn't already lost then he's probably prepared for this outcome when he signed!" Cortana who had always had his back looked at him with a faint sense of annoyance which only pissed off.the green-colored badass even more.

"That doesn't mean we should leave him! We should be out there looking for the missing! Then get you home to H-"

"John! He is dead to us! Nothing but a waste of time! Just another number in the countless death toll! So drop it!" She shouted, slightly flickering red and blue as she stopped and glared at him.

John didn't know what to say to about her sudden outburst, especially since this was concerning another person's life... Sure people fall in combat but seeing how they could quite easily send a warthog over to the lone Spartans location and save this man's life...

It didn't make sense...

"Cortana-"

That was the only word he was able to say, before the Alarms rang, ending the conversation immediately as chiefs training kicked to high gear. Which was to immediately raise his weapon, despite being in the protected confines of the infinity.

"Report" Chief commanded, sure Cortana maybe upset with him for little to no reason but he knew she wouldn't mix a private matters with something that could be another life an death battle...

"Infinity is reporting multiple attacks on three separate decks.." The slight undertones in the Cortana's voice clearly made the point that this conversation was over, even if she was wrong...

"The Covenant?" Chief questioned before lowering his weapon and leaving the room he'd had stayed in for the past few minutes.

"Unlikely... It's like they just... Appeared? They show major similarities to those contracts we saw before meeting up with the Infinity... I'll bring up a path to the closest breach."

A waypoint appeared as Chief turned a corner, speeding up his focused walk into a trained jog. following the new path laid before him by his companion.

3rd Person Pov

The sudden and completely shocking appearance of three multicolored knights caught everyone off guard. Especially the unfortunate Marines near each cannibalized machines. They were the first the go and their screams offered a leveled alert to others, although most people who checked on each gutted, shot, or crushed Marine suffered the same fate.

Allowing each Knight a way to do more damage as Infinity couldn't do anything about them for a time.

Though once the UNSC vessel realized what had happened and what they were dealing with, the marines, Spartans, and ODST alike put up defenses and focused on trying to gun each one down...

Marine: Ashley Banker Pov

"Jesus! Get down!" Ashley yelled while she dove taking another man, Rin, down with her. Once they were both behind a storage crate, she quickly moved her back against the box. "Bitch has a needler!" The common and yet unmistakable sound of glass hitting metal became a fairly renowned sound got the Marines as they had to spend years getting ready to fight the Covenant. "Not this fucker though..." Ashley frowned while taking a peek at the enemy.

The damn humanoid-hunchback, grass hopper, looking robot. As Ashley named it. Had a strange body shape which was obviously both humanoid and hunchback, instead of used conventional hands or arms, the bot used a enlarged elite energy sword for a right hand and a gun covered in purple-ish pink needles like porcupine spines covered it's whole left arm. While the rest of the body looked large but smooth, looking as if the Covenant made it...

The fight had bearly lasted 3 minutes and half of her squad became pincushions to the dozens of razor sharp crystals the strange robot shot, and that wasn't counting those who hadn't moved or made a noise since taking a hit. "What're we gonna do Ash?" Rin asked, loading his DMR and risking a peek from the top of the box. Only to immediately duck when a needle shattered against the top of their cover. "Jesus Christ that was close!"

"Stay down you idiot!" Ashley snapped, making the horrible mistake of looking away from that monster. One that she paid for when a light blue blade of energy split the damn box in two.
"!!!" Her voice momentarily lost its hard edge as the dooming thought of dieing by a searing line of plasma brought out the fear. Something that Rin shared when he dove forward and quickly aimed his weapon at the robo-beast.

"Rin! No!" Ashley reached out uselessly while her closet companion fired off a burst of rounds that did utterly nothing but to pull it attention on him.

Rin only had a second to stare at Ashley, a face full of fear and extreme regret quickly turned into his last. As the hunchback moved faster then what was possible for something it's size and stomped on the poor man's chest crushing his ribs, lungs, heart, and splitting his body in four ways. Similar to how a man would crush a pumpkin with his boot.

"Rinnnn- You bastarrrrd!" The lone Marine roared as she launched herself towards the monster. Gun leveled for what she thought would be the last time. Sure she was pissed, sure her charge was something akin to a emotional flair, sure she could probably win if she stalled for backup but at this moment she told herself that none of that mattered. This mother fucker just took the only friend she had since she joined this miserable vessel and it's terrible journey.

The hunchback used the energy blade arm to block the free flying bullets, showing her how utterly futile this action was. Ashley was just a marine, something that was made clear when a Spartan. Or more specifically the Spartan, Master Chief, appeared. Ducking under it's needle arm and slamming a blue ball under sometype of back flap just before quickly backing off.

Ashley, who was nothing but emotions didn't register what just happened. Nor did she actually make any sort of movement's to distance herself from the bomb. So when it finally went off in bright blue explosion, she was thrown back. Caught in another person's gamble just because she was trying to avenge someone she cared for.

A shared fate with most UNSC Marines...
