"i don't know! he rarely even interacted with it and all of a sudden he wants to comment and shit."

"i don't know why he had the audacity to comment that when he's fucking a different girl every hour." evelyn said.

"FOR REAL, talking about some "simping over someone who's not me" shit." i said, mocking the comment mariano had left on my post.

"men really ain't shit." evelyn said.

"except for kyle kuzma."

"nah kelly oubre better." evelyn snapped.

"no no and no." i said, giving her the middle finger over the phone screen.

"OH MY GOSH I ALMOST FORGOT TO TELL YOU." evelyn exclaimed.

"TELL ME." i said, my attention on evelyn.

"so i don't know if you know him but i've been talking to chris daniels and like dude he's so sweet i hate it." evelyn said, making my jaw drop.

"YOU WIN AT LIFE EV, LIKE LITERALLY." i say, chris daniels was...very attractive.

"BYE, he wants me to go to that one event, social bash, in chicago but like i really don't wanna go because im gonna be so scared of everyone there." evelyn said.

i let out a small laugh, "you have to go, no argument, you can't miss out on meeting your soulmate."

"if i go, you have to go. no argument." evelyn said.

"did you really think i was gonna let you go alone." i said.

"nope...WAIT." evelyn said, her screen reading paused as she went on a different screen other than our facetime.

"i know you do not have me on PAUSED." i said, hating whenever i was put on paused.

"shut up i'm trying to figure something out." evelyn said, i could hear the tapping of her nails hitting her phone screen quickly.

"I KNEW IT, alejandro and his group are going to be there too. you know what that means boo." evelyn said, returning back to our facetime call.

"ev i'm not prepared to meet him at all i will literally not be able to talk if i see him in person." i said.

"no i don't care we're going now and that's that. better be prepared in 2 months luv." evelyn said, making me roll my eyes.

"whatever, who knows if i'll still be talking to him by then." i said.

"hold up you guys are talking?" evelyn said, her eyes widened.

"no no no we just started texting AS FRIENDS like two days ago." i said.

"you say as friends but then on your spam you're over here with all that imma simp shit. i know how easily you fall for boys dumbass." evelyn said.

"ugh you know i don't want to fall for him. it's just i don't know the way he texts gets me." i said.

"the way he texts? i have to laugh." evelyn said, a chuckle leaving her mouth.

"you have no room to talk ms. chris daniels." i said, evelyn then shutting up.

"i didn't ask to be attacked like that but if you guys do start talking y'all would make the hottest couple ever not gonna lie." evelyn said.

"BITCH YOU and chris would make the hottest fucking couple ever stop playing." i said.

"stop you're getting my hopes up." evelyn said, staring at her ceiling.

"it's gonna happen watch." i said.

"i don't know i mean long distance is not something i would like." evelyn said.

"never say never." i say, a yawn escaping my lips.

"oh shit lia it's one o clock we need to go to sleep." evelyn said, making myself quickly turn to my alarm clock besides my bed.

1:00 AM

"shit! ugh we're going to be so tired tomorrow. night ev i love you." i said as i turned off my night lamp.

"goodnight lia love you." evelyn said as i ended the facetime call.

i plugged my phone in and made sure my not one but five alarm clocks were turned on. putting my phone under my pillow, i quickly got comfortable and closed my eyes.

the idea of evelyn and chris and alejandro and i together making a smile appear on my face.

first i was shit talking about alejandro and then days later i'm over here falling for this kid over TEXT MESSAGES. i'm a mess.
