"i only have like 50 people on my spam, none of them are supporters." eulalia said, her and alejandro were trying to figure out who sent in screenshots of their spams.
"i fucked up because i accidentally posted it on my spam with my supporters instead of my private one. whoever screenshotted catched it. are they mostly your school friends?" alejandro asked.
"yeah theyre all close friends mostly but there's some who i rarely talk to." eulalia said.
the two weren't mad that their "relationship" got exposed, they were actually happy about it. it meant they could post each other now and comment on each other's post without worrying.
alejandro wanted it to be private because he knew how his fan base was. every girl that he talks to or is even rumored to be talking with gets attacked with hate. he didn't want eulalia to go through that ever, she was too sweet to be put through any of that. alejandro knew what those comments could do to your mental health. many forget that these influencers have feelings and their own problems as it is, hating just makes it worse in all.
"sorry lia, i don't want you to start getting hate. please don't listen to them they're just pissed off." alejandro said.
"ale, since i've started social media i get comments like this every once in a while. i just ignore it, it's all good." eulalia said, she could tell how protective alejandro was being.
"okay just if you feel down, tell me please." alejandro said, admiring the girl on his phone screen.
"of course......alejandro thank you." eulalia said.
"thank you for what." alejandro asked, confused as to why she thanked him.
"for how much you care about me. ive been pushed away my whole life by other people, i'm always there for people but people are never there for me. evelyn is a great friend to me and all but once she gets involved with a boy i'm once again pushed away, but you always check up on me whenever i don't reply for a while, you always ask how my day was, you actually listen to my problems. it makes me happy knowing atleast someone cares about me. shit even my own parents pay more attention to their work than their own child. i know that's what we depend on to live but i'm alone every fucking week. i have no support at home, i basically don't even have parents. i take care of myself, i'm an only child so it's literally only me. sorry i'm getting all weepy but yeah thank you so much ale." eulalia said, tears slowly falling down her face.
alejandro didn't know what to say. online, it was rare to see eulalia without a smile on her face. of course when seeing her happy all the time, you assume she's living the "perfect" life. alejandro was far from right with that assumption.
"eulalia i wish i could be there with you right now. im always going to be here for you no matter what terms were on. i'm always here whenever you need me, you know that." alejandro said. eulalia needed someone by her side who supports her through anything, alejandro felt guilty that he couldn't be that person by her side.
"sorry for getting all weepy, i just needed to talk about that for once." eulalia said, wiping the dry tears on her cheeks.
"don't say sorry lia, you can talk to me about whatever you need to get off your chest...another thing, you need to talk to evelyn about the way she treats you. you're the best fucking friend anyone could get and you don't deserve to get pushed to the side just because some fucking guy entered her life." alejandro said, eulalia could notice his jaw clenching. noting he was getting mad at the situation.
"i know. i just worry that if i do tell her, she's going to go off on me and ACTUALLY end our friendship. i'm probably just overthinking it but i cant afford to lose her." eulalia said.
"eulalia if she ends your guys friendship over that, she was never your friend in the first place. you guys should be able to have talks about things that bother you, just like in relationships. maybe she doesn't even realize she pushes you away, but if you talk to her about it, she'll finally notice." alejandro said.
"you're right, she's coming over tomorrow so i'll try and build the courage to finally talk to her about that. again, thank you ale." eulalia said.
"whenever you feel like that please talk to me lia. i'm always one call or text away." alejandro said.
the two continued to talk over facetime. it was definitely difficult dealing with the long distance, they wish they could just hang out everyday instead of calling everyday or texting. they knew that'll never change, maybe when they're older but who knows if the relationship these two had would continue for that long. eulalia rarely went out of her country, she would always fear forgetting or losing her passport which meant she would no longer have access into going back home.
eulalia wanted to ask alejandro whats up with them. were they talking or just friends, talking, she knew they weren't in an official relationship because she believes it's only official if he asked the question, which obviously has not happened. she was confused as to what they're status was, alejandro felt the same. of course, the two were too scared to ask the question, worrying that if they did, it would cause a problem with the other.
they knew they have feelings for each other, alejandro sure didn't hide it. occasionally popping in some flirting which then eulalia returned.
eulalia still laughed at herself for saying she would never get into a relationship with alejandro. it's that easy.
