It's been more than a month since Doctor Brown's death. He had been murdered by a mentally challenged woman with a pocket knife who was arrested in the crime scene waiting for someone. Her name was Maria. She was 28 years old and she was a mute. Police understood that she couldn't have done it with her own will but must have been misled by someone. So they tried to ask her who let her do this with the help of a sign language interpreter and also got her home number to call her family. According to her replies, she was requested by a snowman to poke as many holes as she can with the knife she had been provided by the snowman, and she was promised to get 100$ if she did it.
Police tried to make a facial composite of the snowman with her information on how the snowman looked like, but according to her information what the composite artist drew was an anthropomorphic snow sculpture's facial composite. Half an hour later Maria's mother arrived, and she shouted at the Policemen for letting her go since Maria was a mentally challenged person. But after a policeman explained what had happened, Maria's mother agreed to help them investigate Maria. One of the policeman showed her mother the sketch of the snowman and the mother replied that this was the snowman she and Maria built few days ago. Police wanted to investigate with Maria's friends and the people she meet. So they began to investigate every person she met, but it was no use, since most of her friends where kids or old people. Some of the kids even told the policemen that Maria had some problems with some senior gangs who used to rag Maria everytime they see her alone or with them. So with the kids help they found out the senior gangs and investigated them.
It couldn't be the senior gangs because the knife had been brought recently according to the test they had done and it has not been brought from the local store but from the store in the neighbouring city. So according to their investigation neither their senior gangs nor their family members had traveled to the neighbouring city reccently.
Policemen even investigated Eric and April to know if Dr. Brown had any enemies or if any new or unknown person met him. Eric replied that there was a new person named Dr. Sundar who came to meet Dr. Brown few days ago before his death, and he asked Dr. Brown to come to the laboratory during the day he was murdered.
"Dr. Sundar was the man who called us to inform about the murder. So even with the investigations we have done with him, he was clean.", said the Policeman.
Few days later, the incident had become a local news. With the request of Maria's mother and Police officers; newspapers only put Maria's name as M.G. and didn't take pictures of her or even didn't show her face.
