Chapter 1 : Don't be such a loser
This world is a better place for us to live, but it's still a boring place when we don't travel to places we have never been to. It's 2.45 am and I am just walking on the same streets for like a year. Where am I going? To the same boring place I work. Well the place I go for work really has nothing to do with me.
My uncle is a scientist, and he came to know that I had no work after I finished my university. Well I was jobless because every interview I attended, they wanted experienced person for the job, and I was a fresher.
What have I studied? I got my degree in Bachelors of Business Administration, and since I got this job, I actually forgot what I learned in the university.
To be honest, I am not the kind of person who studies always, I like to hangout with friends and play games. So I guess you will know why I forgot what I learned in the university.
This place is always silent at night, and not much people do walk or travel on this street whether it is a day time or night time. Only people who travel on this street are staff members and labourers of The National Laboratory.
"HEY!" screamed a person behind me. The moment I heard it I just had a little heart attack and I think I jumped because I was terrified to hear it suddenly. I turned back to see who was that idiot. It turns out to be my only friend who was my crush when I joined the job.
Well I don't have crush on her now, but we are good friends.
"You got scared!" said April laughing.
I replied, "I did not!".
"Yes you did." said April confidently.
"No April I did not, I am a man why should I be scared?"
"OMG! A spider on your shoulders!" shouted April.
"What where, get it out"
"HAHAHA.... I can't stop laughing dude. Admit it you got scared." said April.
"Okay Okay, I got scared, are you happy?" I replied her embarrassingly.
April replied, "Haha... don't worry dude, until you are with me, oh hey now there is seriously a cockroach on your shirt"
"What where?" I started being scared. Well I am not scared of insects, but I do get scared when they're on me.
I look at April, she still keeps laughing. I realized that she was still pranking on me.
"Don't be such a loser Eric, if you keep getting scared like this, then you will end up getting scared like this forever."
"Hey, what will you do if there was an insect on top of you? Be calm?" I asked.
April replied," Shush! You're a scardy cat, and that's final. Now lets keep walking or else we will be late."
She then caught my hands, and dragged me close to her, and we started walking to the lab.
We reached the entrance of the National Laboratory building which was huge and had transparent walls. Actually it had many glasses just like an Apple Store, I just simply like to call it transparent walls. We reached the security counter to let the security know we are present in the building. It is a protocol here, no outsiders are allowed in this building unless they have a staff or labour pass. After the security gave us an OK to enter the building, we both caught an elevator, and went to floor number 4.
As we reached our floor we got out of the elevator together, and we heard a harsh manly voice saying," I didn't bring you both for honeymoon, I brought you both to work here."
