Hermione shrieked and I launched myself in front of my father. "I found this," Snape held up the cloak. "Thank you Potter, most useful."

He tossed it aside. "Jones, move."

"No," I said firmly. "Your dear father didn't take his potion tonight, I was bringing it to him and I saw that map on the table."

"Severus," Lupin pleaded with him. "Joy, sweetheart, please move out of the way."

"No!" I said more adamantly. "I knew you were helping him, here's all the proof I need!" Snape snapped at him.

"Sirius is not here to kill Harry," Lupin tried to talk to him. "Two more for Azkaban tonight," Snape hissed at him.

"You fool!" Lupin suddenly shouted at him. "Are you willing to send an innocent man to prison for a schoolboy grudge?!"

Snape suddenly shoved me to the ground and I landed on my shoulder, crying out in pain.

Snape flicked his wand, tying up Lupin and gagging him. "NO! Leave him alone!" I shouted.

"YOU PRICK!" Sirius shouted at Snape. He lunged at him. "Go on, give me a reason to do it!" Snape egged him on.

I tried to free Lupin but I couldn't. "Let him go!" I shouted at Snape. "Miss Jones, you are already facing suspension. Hold your tongue!"

"Hear them out," Hermione begged him. "KEEP QUIET YOU STUPID GIRL!" Snape shouted at her. "I'll come to the castle," Sirius agreed. "If that boy brings his rat."

"Oh, we won't be going that far, I'll call the Dementors," Snape taunted him. "They're eager to give you a little kiss."

Sirius' face turned white. "Come on, all of you," Snape ordered. I leapt up and blocked the door. What surprised me is that Harry blocked the door too.

"If Lupin wanted me dead, he would've done it already," Harry spoke up. "You don't understand how a werewolf's mind works. Out of the way!" Snape ordered.

"YOU'RE PATHETIC!" I yelled at him. "YOU WON'T EVEN LISTEN TO THEM BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID GRUDGE!"

"SILENCE!" Snape snapped at me. "I WILL NOT BE SPOKEN TO THAT WAY! Now for the last time Jones, MOVE!"

"EXPELLIARMUS!"

I wasn't the only one who cast it. Harry, Ron and Hermione did too. "We attacked a teacher," Hermione gasped. The blast had knocked Snape out. I ran over to Lupin and untied him. "Dad, are you okay?" I asked him. "I'm alright Joy," he reassured me. "Are you?"

I nodded and I pulled him to his feet. "I'm not saying I trust you, any of you," Harry looked at me, Sirius and Lupin.

"Then it's time we offer you proof," Sirius said. "Joy?"

I nodded and went over to Ron. "Ron, give me Scabbers."

"No! He broke out of Azkaban just to get Scabbers?!" Ron was still in disbelief.

"How did you know he was here?" Lupin asked Sirius. "The article in the Daily Prophet," I spoke up. "When Ron's family went to Egypt."

Sirius pulled out the newspaper and showed him. "He has a toe missing, he cut it off himself," Lupin murmured. "I confronted him in the street, he yelled out that I betrayed James and Lily....Alivia too. Before I could do anything he blew the street apart and transformed into a rat and scurried off," Sirius explained.

"They only found his finger, that was the biggest bit," Lupin pointed out. "Ron, Scabbers couldn't have been living for twelve years, common rats have a short lifespan," I told Ron.
