(Archie smiling brightly at Riles ---->)
It was different to get to know Archie again. I was still quite uncomfortable to talk about father or my family dynamics, but once I told him about my earliest memory it got a little easier. I am glad that he didn't push for details I wasn't ready to share just yet.
As cliché as it sounded, we went on many silly dates and had several awkward moments, but those were the absolute highlights of my days. I was happy just seeing Archie happy.
We didn't have sex yet. Not that we didn't want to because we did, it just felt too forced to have sex now. We did, however, have had a lot of kissing and touching, I had Archie cum by a mere touch or kiss. Most noticed we were generally happy just to be together. Only a few older members grumbled about us, but most were just accepting of us.
I did get a little nervous though as the last few days of the vacation drew closer. I knew Archie had to return to college, I was just very nervous about him being around other people I didn't know. My Panther was pacing and growling at the mere thought of it. To sooth both my Panthers and my nerves, Archie proposed to come with him to the college to check it out.
Although the college wouldn't start for a few more days it was the centre of activity when we arrived. People were milling about, shouting and screaming at each other, and just general chaos.
[I don't know how you deal with all this.]
I winched as someone shouted loudly to someone across the yard, hurting my sensitive hearing. Archie just laughed at me "You'll get used to it babe." Before grabbing me and leading me around the buildings.
Seeing where he will be and who he will be around I was glad to say that it soothed my Panther's frayed nerves. Although he kept grumbling that Archie shouldn't go anywhere out of our sight, I refused to be one of those overly protective mates.
The ones who needed to know where their mate was at all times and what they were doing. I had to remind my panther that Archie was doing this before he even met us, so he was more than capable of taking care of himself. Besides, we trained him in self-defence combat. That reminded me we really needed to pick that back up.
"So when do you want to pick up the combat training again?" I ask Archie after he picked up his schedule.
"Hmm?" He looked up from his busy schedule at me in question. "I said when do you want to pick up the training again?"
He looked a little nervous "I...uh...kinda trained with Dean." He mumbled making me blink in surprise. I wasn't expecting that, can't expect him to wait on me though.
I cleared my throat "Well that's great!" I lied, it wasn't great at all. I returned to check the pots on the stove, not knowing what else to do now our conversation stranded.
What is this uncomfortable feeling?
I thought to myself as my chest tightened slightly as I think about Archie practising with Dean.
[It's jealousy. You don't want to share Archie with anybody else.]
My Panther oh so helpfully explained. Archie's mirthful laughter pulled me out of my musings, turning I looked at him in question "What's so funny?"
Hiccupping and wiping the tears from his eyes Archie managed to take a breath and answer me. "The look on your face when you lied to me and thought I didn't know."
