My Pain

On that midnight train to Georgia

I woke up instantly hearing my alarm on my phone go off. I knew I had to get rid of it knowing my mom could track me, how could I be so stupid and forget that. I turned my phone off and sat up in bed for a moment til I went to the bathroom. I got out the shower drying myself off, walking to the sink to start my personal hygiene. After I finished  I went to give my hotel keys back, and started my hour walk to the train station I left out early so I'd have time to eat something.

When I tell you I'm tired I am wore out that was the longest hour walk of my life I thought out loud. I walked up to the ticket booth it was a short line so I was good.  I was up next in line, the girl at the booth looked really pretty I thought to myself.

Hi, how are you today? She asked

Oh Hi, I'm good and you I asked her

I'm fine where are you off to on this fine morning she said all chipy

I need a one way ticket to Georgia I told her

Ahhh you are just in luck you got the last ticket, now the train for Georgia leaves here in about 2 hours so you have some time to spare. She exclaimed

Alrighty thank you and do you know any restaurants around her I asked

Actually yes it's a diner right there across the street just make sure you look both ways people drive really fast down this street she told me

Thank you love nice meeting you I said

Same to you she told me

My made sure to look both ways before running across to the diner once I got in the place looked kind of old but still up and running I decided to sit in the far back were no one could really see me as I sat down a waitress came up and took my order I got something real simple just a waffle eggs and a sausage . No later then 10 minutes she came back with my food I quickly ate my food so I could go find a store around here to buy a new phone I had chucked my old one while I was walking here as I was leaving I asked the same waitress if it was a store around here she told me I only had to walk about 5 minutes to get there it was only down the road i thanked her and took off 5-6 minutes later I made my way into the store I walked over to the counter were they had the phone I got a simple touch screen track phone so I could at least check on things Once I purchased the phone and the card to turn it on I walked back to the train station and after doing all of that I only had a hour left.

I decided to sit on the bench informer of the ticket booth I started to set my phone up the only two numbers I had where my grandma Ruby's and my dads so I just added them to my contacts.  After a while I was getting all my things together because it was almost time for the train to come I didn't know whether or not to call my grandma I decided I would the phone rang three times before she picked up I wait to hear he voice to make sure it was her.

Hello who is this calling my phone she said

Hey grandma it's me I told her

Oh hey love I can't really talk right now my daughter just showed up she said with ease

Omg I'll talk to you when I get to Georgia you call me I won't call you I'll just text you okay I exclaimed

Okay Honey I'll call you back once I get everything sorted with my child she is going crazy right now my granddaughter has up and left with out saying anything to anyone just crazy she said trying to make the conversation more believable

I love you grandma text me when she leaves I might be able to call you on the train I told her

Okay hun talk to you later. That was the last thing she said before she hung up.

I pray my mom doesn't find out that I went to her and she helped me escape, ughh I need to stay focused I can't think negative right now I'm praying for my grandmas and praying for myself this will be the longest 12 hour ride of my life.

Once I got off the phone the train was already pulling up I walked to the line to get my bags put under the train so I could get on. Once it was my turn I handed the man my bags and hoped on in a hurry and took a sit right next to the exit just Incase I gotta stay aware and safe at all times til I get to Georgia.

Here I come Dad I can't wait to meet you I thought to myself while the train started to pull off. Never looking back I can't and I won't.
