When we were seated inside the car, Raelyn started to speak again.

"I gave them your number instead." I nodded and we were off to home.

Right when I entered the door, I broke down. In an instant, Raelyn was by my side.

She may be nine years older than me but she was my best friend.

She hugged me and held me while I cried.

"It's ok. You'll be okay."

We stayed like that for a while before I finally stopped and went upstairs to shower and get changed.

Kenneth had texted me the address and said we should be there by 7 but, can come sooner or later if we please.

I wore denim skinny jeans with a white silk spaghetti strap shirt tucked into the pants and a mustard yellow long cardigan on top and to top it off, I wore some black suede ankle strap heels, leaving my hair in it's natural waves.

I grabbed my purse and went downstairs to see Raelyn dressed and waiting for me too.

She was wearing black skinny jeans with a red off the shoulder satin top as for shoes she wore nude open toed heels.

"You ready?" She asked, grabbing her purse and keys.

"Yeah, you look amazing."

"As do you." She smiled and then we chuckled together.

Me and Raelyn have very different styles.

Where I'd wear baggy shirts and sneakers, she'd wear dresses and jeans. But I decided to dress up tonight.

"Lets go."

I went outside and waited while Raelyn locked the door.

We got into the car and left towards the address.

The house looked more like a mansion from the outside. It looked elegant, even from this standpoint.

We walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell.

The door soon opened and we were greeted with Amelia who immediately pulled me in for a hug. I tensed up immediately.

"Hi, it's so good to see you guys again." She spoke after she gave Raelyn a hug.

"You too." Me and Raelyn said at the same time.

She invited us in and took us to the living room where there was Kenneth and two other males that looked to be twins. They both had black hair and dark brown eyes. They were almost identical except one's eyes were darker than the others.

We sat down and Amelia left again.

"Hello." I spoke when they were all staring at me.

"Oh uh, hi." One of them spoke.

"I'm Hunter and this is my- our brother, Nathan."

"No, it's ok, he is yours." I spoke softly.

He looked hurt but nodded.

"Um, this is Raelyn, my best friend."

She smiled at them and then shook their hands.

There were many moments of silence before Hunter spoke up again.

"Um, so what do you do?" Hunter asked.

"We're both lawyers. Criminal defence."

"Wow, that's amazing. You're 21 now right? Did you go into law right after you graduated?" Nathan asked.
