Upon entering, what I saw made me horrified.

Ailynn was covered in bruises and had many stitches on her arms.

It reminded me of myself.

When Amelia saw her, she burst into the tears she was trying so hard to control.

"Oh my god." Skylar whispered covering her mouth.

I could tell she was trying to hold in her tears but she failed.

Everyone looked like they were in physical pain. Everyone except for me.

I just stood there. Stone faced. Eyes void of emotion but I could feel every emotion. What I'm looking at right now is me.

Was what I used to be.

I couldn't take it anymore so I left.

I had a pair of the car keys as well so I left and went to where I escaped this life that is mine last time. Raelyn tried to follow me but I shook my head at her. I needed to be alone. I couldn't let see me like this.

It's all my fault.

When I reached I took off my sandals and went to stand in the water and I let it out.

I cried until I couldn't anymore.

It was a good thing that the beach was so deserted at this moment and no one noticed my breakdown.

My phone started ringing and I took a deep breath and wiped away my tears before answering.

"Hello?"

"Hey, you ok?" Raelyn spoke through the phone.

"Yeah. How- How's Ailynn?"

"She said she's ok. She won't tell us what happened but she said that she's ok. She said that she wants to see you."

"Are you sure? Me being there might upset her more."

"No, she persisted. She wants to see you."

"Ok. I'll be there soon."

We hung up and I turned around to leave when I bumped into someone. Thankfully they caught me before I slipped and fell in the water.

"Sorry." I whispered.

"It's ok. I wasn't looking where I was going either."

For some reason that voice sounded familiar so I looked up and saw that it was.

I sighed and nodded, turning to walk away.

"Your name?" I heard from behind.

"Pardon?" I asked, turning around.

"If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure you said you'd tell me your name if I saw you again."

I smiled slightly and turned back around.

"Brooklynn." I spoke walking away.

I walked to the car and put my sandals back on before getting in and driving to the hospital again.

I parked the car and took a few deep breaths before going up to her room.

Upon entering I saw that it was only Hunter, Amelia, Skylar, Lukas and Raelyn in the room with her.

When they saw me, some smiled and some nodded before leaving out the door.

"You're finally here." Ailynn spoke with a rough voice.

"How are you?" I asked from the door. I was scared to walk in.

"I could be better."

"I'm so sorry Ailynn. I'm really sorry. You should have never gone through what you did." I started tearing up. I walked into the room.
