Emée's point of view

I woke up the next morning with my legs aching from all the walking we had done yesterday. What a strange encounter... I wonder what happened to Alexander and the hero who brought him to King Rédi.

I left the bed for the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror: fortunately there were no marks on my chin, through the slight pain was definitively present, such a shame that I couldn't kiss myself.

Preparing myself to go to work, the idea that the trial of Alexandre would take place without my testimony bothered me more and more. I had to find my savior, as much as I was grateful for his actions, the demon was never going to be punished if no one was there to speak against him.

I couldn't bring myself to bore myself to work, I had to find the identity of the hero. I remembered the ornament that fell off one of their suits yesterday. I went back to my room to get the precious jewel, the first clue to my investigation.

The ornament was on my bedside table, I had put it there yesterday right before falling asleep to forget about my day. And now I was skipping work to find a hero that probably had no interest in knowing who I was.

I took the jewel in my hand, it's wasn't small! Round, it was about the size of the palm of my hand. There was a back part made of silver sort of strings knotted together and above them was a smaller kind of golden coin. I had never seen such a coin, I didn't know which money it corresponded to but it looked old. For once, I really cursed my useless gift.

I knew who I had to see if I wanted answers... Sébastien. He wasn't the person I was eager to see today, the more time I spent away from him, the better I was. But I needed his help, and I knew he wasn't going to do it by pure altruism. I needed to bribe him with something, and I had to be creative, the guy had practically everything... except maybe...

I knew from one of our oh so passionate conversations that he was currently looking for how living creatures were made and I happened to have a book about that in the hospital. It was absolutely useless for me, as it was about birds and insects but I always kept just in case something happened. Looks like I was right.

I put on a white dress and my hospital blouse, I had to retrieve that book first and then go the library where Sébastien worked to ask him about the ornament.

After a short walk, I unlocked the back door of the hospital, I didn't really want to be seen since I was going to leave in a few minutes. I avoided the few people that were there to go in my office, also the place were I heal the patients, I only hoped that nobody would need me today.

I took the book on my shelf, put it in my bag and left the place without being noticed. For once, I was happy that I had been put in an isolated wing of the building. And I headed for the library.

I walked through the forest for a good half an hour, the way was longer because I didn't want to be noticed by too many people or they were going to ask questions at the hospital. With little chance, they wouldn't even notice I hadn't shown up.

I arrived at the library without any problem and headed for the section where Angels were working and saw Sébastien from afar. How could I approach him? Suddenly, I realized that it was perhaps a bad idea... But I couldn't back down now, could I?

Without really thinking about it, my legs took me to him and I tapped on his shoulder.

"Hello?" I said with a smile. He turned around, he was reading an ancient book.

"What? Emée? What are you doing here?" He asked rather coldly.

"I'm very sorry to disturb you Sébastien but... I need your help." I said quietly to not bother the other angels working.
