When all else Fails (DekuxUraraka)

chapter 1 meeting

It had been a long day for ochako. She had just finished her first day at UA high and she was on her way home.
As she was walking her thoughts consumed her
'that physical test Aizawa gave us was sooo hard....and its not going to get easier is it'
She sighed trying to relieve some of her stress, when she finally looked up and noticed her surroundings she saw a young boy around her age just ahead of her looking over the bridge. He was a plain looking boy with messy green hair that match his green eyes and freckles all over his face.

For some reason Uraraka couldn't take her eyes off of him. even thought he was plain looking she couldn't help but think he was kind of cute.

Just as she was getting close to passing him. He had climb atop the edge of the bridge and stood upright. Uraraka's heart stop, in a panic she dropped her bag and ran to him as fast as she could. Thankfully before anything happened she reached him and grabbed ahold of his arm with all of her strength.
"Whhhaat are you doing" the boy cried out.
"I'm not letting go, not until you get down"
The boy looked surprised then he laugh
"What, did you think I was going to jump off and end it all."
Uraraka look up into the boys face, he was smiling, it wasn't one of those fake smiles either. It was a soft, gentle, and warm smile. She looked away her face flushed with embarrassed but still she didn't let go of his arm.

"I'm sorry. I guess I panic but what else am I supposed to think when I see someone on the edge of a bridge?"
The boy laughed again
"I guess your right." He place his hand on hers "im sorry I scared you, I promise I'll get down."
Slowly he did get down and Uraraka let go of his arm. Still embarrassed Uraraka looked at the ground as she spoke "let me introduce myself im Ochako Uraraka."

"Its nice to meet you I'm Izuku Midoriya." He smiled. It was such a pure smile, Uraraka was captivated and her face felt warm in the setting sun.
They were silent for a moment before Izuku spoke up "so are you a student at UA?"
That snapped her out of it "yeah how did you....?" He interrupt her
"Your uniform its got the symbol for UA high."
"OH I see" she reach a hand out to touch the symbol on her chest.
"Well I'm glad that UA has kind hearted hero's like you attending" he look to the horizon "it makes me think that there are real hero's out there."

'That was weird' though Uraraka but she tried to push that thought back.
"What about you Izuku? Which school do go to?"
He started to look nervous "well actually im not going to high school for reasons I can't really explain Sorry." He was talking so fast and figated so much that Uraraka couldn't help but giggle at him."its ok you don't have to explain yourself."
Uraraka didn't know what it was but she liked this boy. In just the few minutes they spent together she could tell he was kind but also a bit awkward.
She also sensed something was off

But she wanted to get to know him better so before her courage failed her she blurted out
"Um Izuku. I know we just met but would you mind if we traded our contract info?" She looked up at him and saw his face. He was completely dumbfounded and she started to panic again
"im sorry. I'm don't normally ask random strangers but I just... I well..I guess i kind of want to be friends with you if thats ok" Uraraka closed her eyes waiting for the rejection but instead she heard Izuku laughing.
"Of course its ok Uraraka. I won't mind being friends with you...here." he gestured for her phone and handed his to her.

After typing in her number and getting her phone back she bowed "well it was nice to meet and I'm sorry again for assuming. But I have to get going." She waved at him "I'll guess I'll message you later. Bye"

Izuku wave back "Goodbye Uraraka, I look forward to seeing you again."

As he watch her leave his smile faded, he looked to the sky were he just saw All Might the symbol of peace and justice.
Izuku whispered to himself "your days are numbered All Might enjoy them while they last."
