When all else Fails (DekuxUraraka)

chapter 4 The date

It was Saturday afternoon. Ochako was waiting for Izuku at the train station.

She couldn't believe she had asked him out. She wasn't usually this bold but she had been thinking about him alot lately and whenever she did think about him she got all excited and nervous. She needed to figure out why she was feeling this way. Guess the best way to do that was to was to talk to Izuku about it.
Ochako looked at her watch, 10:55.
'We agreed to meet at 11. So shouldn't he be here'
just as she was thinking this someone taped her on the shoulder. She had nearly jumped out of her skin as she turned around and saw Izuku
"Hey Ochako, sorry did I scare you."
Ochako shook her head
"It'll take a lot more than a tap to scare off a future hero." She said trying to sound confident. Izuku laughed "of course."

Izuku's smile was infectious. Ochako could help but smile back
"So Izuku. I was thinking we could go to an aquarium then there's this Cafe I thought we could try."
"Sounds good, lead the way"
He held out his hand expectingly. Ochako looked at him, she was confused at first. Then it dawned on her what he wanted.
Her face was flushed but she grabbed his hand and they were on there way.

(At the aquarium)

"Wow look at all the fish." Ochako stared in wide eyed amazement.
"I havent been to an aquarium since I was a kid."

"Me to." Izuku replied "hey look that cool one." He pointed to a blue fish with its fins looking like fans.
"Ooooo" she was in awe
"Hey Ochako." She turned to him and saw him go a little red in the face
"why did you ask me out?"

She thought about it for a moment her hands laced together.
"Well to be honest I'm not really sure. But when we first met Izuku there was something there, drawing me to you. I can't really explain it."
She look up into his face. "Sorry, I must seem really weird."
He shook his head "not at all, in fact I feel the same."

Ochako smiled wide "then."
She grab his arm and stared into his eyes hopefully "would it be to much, to ask than we stay like this. I don't know where this is going but I want to find out."
Izuku nodded.

She was so cute how could he deny her. Besides no matter how much he tried to tell himself that he shouldn't be with her. He found himself mesmerized by her and he didn't want to look away.

(Short time skip)

After the aquarium. Izuku and Ochako stopped by a little cafe down the street. The afternoon was hot but there was a cool breeze that made it bearable. Izuku and Ochako where looking over the pictures they took in the aquarium.

'This is the best day ever' Izuku thought
Just then.

💥 BOOM 💥

"DEKU!!!!"

Izuku snapped his head in the direction of the voice. He went pale, It was Kacchan. He was running up to him with a red headed boy running right behind him.

Ochako stood up and tried to get in between Izuku and her classmate "Bakugo what are you....."
Before she could say anything else. She felt a hand grab hers and run in the other direction at full speed.

She and Izuku ran and ran and ran. They ran until they couldn't hear Bakugous explosions anymore. Then they finally stopped to catch their breath in a small allyway.

"Izuku" Ochako panted "what....was.... that about?....do...you...and Bakugo...know each other?"
Izuku stayed quiet for a while, the only noise he made was his heavy breathing.
When he finally calmed down he said. "We used to know each other but now..." he trailed off lost in thought.
"What about you Ochako? How do you know him?"
There was an edge in his voice like he was biting back his frustration. "He and I are in the same class."
'No point in lieing to him' she thought.
"I see." They were quiet for a while longer, then Izuku spoke up "Ochako im sorry but I have to go and I don't know when I'll see you again."

She was shocked. "But why?"
"I can't explain it right now but I promise I'll message you later."

She nodded "okay."

Izuku saw how downcast she was. "Please don't get me wrong." He said "today was the best day ever because of you. I'm only sorry we have to part ways so early."

Ochako managed to smiled a bit "me to."
They waved goodbye as they went their separate ways.

'This isn't good' Izuku thought 'Shigaraki is going to kick my ass."
