The sound of the cheap hotel alarm clock jolted Lexie awake. It was 6 am, her test was in 2 hours. She set to clock for 6 am to get some last-minute studying. She was very nervous about her test today. Sure she had a photographic memory and memorized almost every procedure she could, but her nerves were still eating her up inside.
She threw off the heavy hotel cover and swung her legs and feet onto the side of the bed. Her face flushed when she realized she was only wearing her bra and underwear. The memories from last night came flooding in. After round one, she and Spencer ordered room service and watched some crappy reality tv show. Then they had round 2. And 3.
She picked up Spencer's button-up shirt that was discarded at some point last night and shrugged it on. She smiled thinking about the night they shared. Spencer is such a kind and gentle person, but Lexie really saw a different side of him last night. Lexie was definitely nervous to sleep with Spencer for the first time. She hasn't been 'active' in two years but considering the dark purple spots on Spencer's body, she did alright.
Lexie started up the coffee pot and plated one of the croissants she and Spencer ordered last night. Her nervous eating had definitely started to take effect. She knew this wasn't going to be the only thing she ate this morning. When she was nervous like this eating really helpt calm her nerves.
She picked up a textbook and her croissant and sat on her side of the bed. She flipped on the nightstand lamp so she could read easier. She read a few pages before Spencer started shifting in the sheets.
"Uhh light." he groaned pulling the comforter over his head.
"Sorry," she giggled "I have to get some more studying in, two hours until I make or break my whole career."
Spencer laughed from under the covers. He didn't know why Lexie was so nervous, she knew every question he could ask. He was sure she had already read the book she was reading. He was a profiler, he knew Lexie was a nervous eater. That's why he made sure to get a dozen croissants last night.
Spencer sat up and sighed. He loved Lexie, but 6 am was early, even for him. There were countless nights when the team was called in at 3 am, but after the events of last night, he was exhausted. He stood from the bed to make a cup of coffee, he was only wearing his boxers, but he didn't care at this point. He shuffled over the coffee pot pouring a mug of black coffee with 4 sugars.
"Are you wearing my shirt?" he asked preparing her coffee.
"Yep," She responded, not looking up from her book.
Spencer scoffed and handed her her coffee, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "You really think you still need to study?" he asked looking down at her. "You know everything already Lex."
"Yes Dr.Reid, I do need more studying, I have to pass this test," she said, only looking up to pick up her coffee mug.
"Well Dr.Grey, you are absolutely brilliant, you have every word of the book memorized." Spencer laughed, heading over to the counter to get a croissant.
"Just let me read it one more time," she replied.
"Okay Okay." He chuckled
Spencer sat back down on the bed picking up one of the books he'd brought to keep himself busy. The couple sat like that for an hour. The only noise being a page-turning or someone taking a sip of coffee. So when there was the knock at the door, they both jumped.
"I'll get it," Spencer said getting out of bed and quickly pulling on some clothes.
He opened the door confused. There was a woman who had dirty blonde hair and looked to be a little older than Spencer and Lexie. A tall man with dark flowy hair who looked familiar to Spencer. The woman was holding a small toddler on her hip. Spencer looked at the trio confused, they must have the wrong room he thought.
