Zoey's P.O.V
I had gotten really good at the arcade games. Of course not being able to talk, there's not much else to do at the arcade. They kept me distracted from the giant animatronic figures that terrified me. It was like I was in my own little world once I turned on those games.
Since I was super focused I didn't realize that I had beat the high score on the arcade game. I just kept playing. I especially didn't notice the employee that walked up next to me and was watching. Finally, after about 20 minutes I lost the game. I even surprised myself a little bit, it was a super high score. I don't think any of the games had that high of a score.
When I turned around the employee scared me.
"Hey, there kid you're pretty good." The guy said. I nodded my head. "actually, you were so good, that by beating the high score you got a prize." My eyes lit up as he handed me a cyan box with a pink ribbon keeping it shut. I carefully unwrapped the ribbon and opened the box up.

Here's the thing, I knew for a fact that there was no prize for getting a high score on the machines. And this was a limited edition thing. It must have been the employee's flashlight. Why did they give it to me? Either way, seeing how happy the flashlight made me seem to make their day. At first, I did try to hand it back.
"You can't give back a gift once it's given. All you can do is pass it on."
I tried to sign out thank you. But I didn't know a lot of sign language. The employee laughed as I tried.
"Here," he then signed out "thank you". I then repeated. "There you go Zoey, one more word to your vocabulary" they let out a laugh then went back to the prize counter.
"You can't give back a gift once it's given. All you can do is pass it on." I repeated in my head...
