Damaged But Not Fixed

Nyx's P.O.V.

They had finally gotten the kid out of my mouth. Afton muttered to himself then walked off. I had heard him say he was going to blame this on Ollie. They had not even completed his room and he was already going to get shut down.

I felt awful... what had I done?

I started to tremble as tears fell down my face. Everything was spinning out of control. Why did I even do that? I don't understand I thought I had control... I curled up pressing my legs against my chest and buried my head.

"Ow... Ugh what happened" came up voice in the room. Off the table, in the room I was in, was Nox. Afton had tried his best to fix him, but there was still a dent in his had.

I heard him say that the outside of his head had gotten so smashed, a part of his head plate was somewhat in his memory core. From what I could understand it was wedged in a part of the section that helps with updates. If Nox was to ever update, they would have to rewrite his programming entirely. Which I knew was a lot of work.

"Wait... Maya!" I heard the wolf Shout. Wait he didn't know my name? None of them remembered anything after Violet activated those memory blockers. Even then, Afton said the only part of Nox that was damaged was the memory core, wouldn't he have noticed the memory blocker was broken to?

I continued to set there curled up crying. Maybe I was just imagining it. It couldn't have been real. I must have just been hearing things. I started to cry even more.

I heard a shuffling noise.

But the door never opened, so Mr Afton wasn't back... he couldn't have been in the room.

"M-m-maya?"

I heard a robotic glitchy tone in front of me.

It wasn't real.

It couldn't be real.

I was just imagining it.

It was all in my head.

It had to to have been only an illusion.

I heard soft cries, then the crying became louder.

"I'm s-s-sorry I f-f-failed you. I j-j-just wanted t-t-to keep you safe. I w-w-wanted to t-t-tell them how m-m-mean they were. I wasn't t-t-there to p-p-protect you. I'm sorry I l-l-let this happen."

The crying got worse. I looked up to see that Nox was sitting beside me. He was covering his face with his paws. His fur was a bit matted from the tears running down his face.

He needs me...

Without a thought I reacted on Maya's feelings. I moved closer to him and gave him a hug. He immediately hugged me back. Apologizing over and over. I couldn't say a word however, because I was crying.

I felt so alone these past few months. No one else remembered what it happened to us, only I did. I was left with the burden of what became of us. I wanted to talk with others, but they glitched out anytime I tried so I just stopped. Even so she was still my best friend, it really pains me that Coco didn't even remember me.

However this means somebody else remembered. This means the others could remember without reacting the way they did. They just needed time and a little bit of a help. But either way that didn't matter. I was not alone anymore.

Or at least that's what I thought.

We both heard footsteps and we both sat length on the table. That's when mr. Afton walked in. He looked at Nox and seemed annoyed.

"I thought you were worthless before, but look at you now you hunk a scrap. I thought you could be repurposed. You're nothing but a lower model. That's what you'll always be. I might as well make you useful for something."

Mr. Afton laughed to himself then he grabs Knox from off the table. I sat there laying motionless unable to move. I had to stay still. If Afton caught me moving it was game over. Afton carried Nox out of the room.

"Nox is offline" the computer's words than echoed in my head.

They never went offline. Not like that. He must have... Nova... tears filled my eyes again. I was not alone for a few moments. Then I was alone once more. Nox had been scrapped... There was nothing I could do. Nova was gone. I sat on the table and cried until I had drained my battery.

And that was the last I had seen of Nox...
