Jin had discovered new houses to visit and which houses to avoid.
He still remembered the day when he went to a backyard from a house and found a rather unpleasant dog waiting for him. He had had to run for his life. Stupid dog and his stupid dangerously looking teeth. Jin felt all his hair rise as the awful memory came to him. It still felt fresh as though what had happened had happened yesterday. But then again, that really did happened yesterday. He had also found a nice apartment where a single female lived with a little girl. The girl had petted him and then the nice female gave him a plate of what appeared steamed vegatables. He had eaten those veggies like a starved man drinking water for the first time. He had really liked the taste of them.
He unconsciously licked his lips as he made his way to the old lady's house. He hadn't visited her for a couple of days after his encounter with the other male. He reached the back door and was about to meow when he saw the window of the living room opened. He silently jumped at the railing and looked inside the house before entering through the window. When he entered, he jumped down towards the sofa and then towards the floor. He looked all around and noticed that the house had a weird sense to it. He meowed silently then as he went towards what he remembered was the room where the old lady was last time, he meowed louder. There was no response. He was in front of the room and he saw that the door was left opened a tid bit which is where he scurried through in order to get inside. The room was dark. The room had the smell of the old lady but for some reason it wasn't really strong. Jin heard a door being opened and quickly ran to where he heard the noise.
Why was the house so silent?
Where was the old lady?
Jungkook couldn't believe what he heard from the doctor. His grandma couldn't be dead. She was full of life, she just couldn't be gone. The tears that he had tried to retain in the hospital and in front of his parents, silently began sliding down his face. Why was his whole world crumbling down?
First, his parents were getting a divorce. Second, he had found out that his father had another family apart from him and his mom. Then when he thought that things couldn't get any worse they did. He had been happy about being sent off to live with his grandma for some time but he never knew about her frail heart condition. How come no one had told him? Why was he always left in the dark? Two days ago when he had called an ambulance and rushed to the hospital, he had found out that his grandma had a weak heart. He called his mother and father that day and that same day he found out that his mother did indeed know about his father's secret life. That day he came to realize that the only person who didn't know was him. The condition of his grandma was also kept hidden from him. He couldn't support so many lies and changes in his short 17 years. He was sitting on the ground next to the door as he hugged his knees. His tears ran down his cheeks and his chest felt oppressed as though he couldn't breathe. A sudden wave of loneliness engulfed him as he started to hyperventilate. He was falling and he was afraid of not knowing where he was going to end up falling into.
~meow?~
Jungkook raised his head and he was met with two lime colored orbs watching him.
Jungkook kept staring at the cat until he beckoned him closer by outstreching his arm towards him.
"You came too late kitty. She is not here anymore so I recommend you leave. I want to be alone."
Jin watched the human and understood what the human was saying. He felt sad that the old lady was gone but for him and his lifestyle as a cat, he had seen many humans come and go. That was life.
Jin turned and was about to leave when he heard a gut wrenching sob come from the human behind him. Jin turned his little head towards the human and saw the human shaking his shoulders as he cried as though his whole world was shattering. Jin was beginning to feel sorry for the human but he had no reason to go up to the human and show support. So with decided steps, he walked away.
Jungkook went back to crying as soon as he had finished talking with the cat. He couldn't care less if the cat stayed and watched him. He wanted to end his sorrow and the best alternative to that was crying his eye sockets dry. He was all alone. His grandma had been his anchor in maintaining his feelings controlled but now that she was gone, he was beginning to let loose all those contained feelings. His sobbing got louder and his chest was starting to hurt. His head was also starting to hurt. A memory of his childhood came back to him, everytime he would cry he would always end up feeling sleepy and his grandma as well as his mother would make fun of him for it saying that that was a cute characteristic of his. The memory only made his heart clench, never in a million years would he be able to relive those memories and times. Jungkook started to feel his eyelids begin to close and his pent up body begin to relax but as he was drifting of to dreamland, his last thought was that he didn't want to be alone. His poor heart couldn't and wouldn't handle waking up alone.
