WE ARE IN deep trouble. That's what I'm sure with. Though I expected this kind of urgent things, I can't help but to be surprised. Pero nandito na ito. We have no choice but to accept what happened.

Underground society was gate crashed. Most of us were threatened. It's a call from my mother that made me open my eyes first thing in the morning. And... bad news greeted all of us.

And that news will make such different things starting today.

"I'm glad you are okay, Madam." I said to my mother after updating me about our family's whereabouts. Her voice was calm but I know she's faking it.

Sa sitwasyong kinalalagyan namin, imposibleng hindi siya mabahala. In fact, it's a miracle that I managed to sleep after hearing the news earlier. I didn't even know that I fell asleep on the way here.

Staying on this place is our only hope. This school is the safest place I can stay for now. I don't doubt Zadreth's decision. Alam kong hindi niya ako ipapahamak.

"You don't have to worry for us. Ikaw lang naman ang inaalala ko. You were seen there last night. I won't ask you about it but be safe at least, daughter. Good thing Zadreth was there back then. You could've been-"

I rolled my eyes. He's there to get a woman. Women. Nagkataon lang na nandoon din ako. Hindi na rin ako nagtataka na nalaman my Ina ko na nandoon ako. The walls of that place has ears. Mom has connections.

Hindi lang ako sigurado kung alam din niya ang pagpasok ko sa headquarters. I hope not. I don't know how will she react.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." I stared at my treated hands and shook my head in disbelief. That fucko clean my wounds, huh? "Pero hindi ako mapapanatag kung wala ako sa tabi ninyo. The Ruler is crazy. Can't we do something witj him?"

I know, what's on my mind is impossible right now but I'm trying my luck here. Maybe... maybe this lady has a plan on mind. Because I don't.

"Killing him and his entire family will be the only answer. But that's impossible at this moment. We don't know who's our ally and who's not. The only thing we can do for now is to wait and be safe."

I sighed. Even my mother now sounds problematic. She's always calm and today is a change. "Another, yeah."

"For now, stay there and make sure that you're always with the right person. We can't afford to make another trouble, Cross. Bear that in mind." With that, the call ended. Itinabi ko ang telepono sa bedside table at napa-ismid.

I sat on the side of my bed and continue to stare at my hands. While looking at it, I realized that today, is also the start of second quarter. I can clearly remember what Zadreth told me about it.

Second Quarter means danger. I just don't know why but maybe I can do something about it.

Hindi lang nga ngayon na problemado ang Underground society. Wala naman sa manual ang mangyayari para sa second quarter kaya malaking pala-isipan sa akin ito ngayon.

The bandages look good on my hands, I observed. My wounded knuckles are completely covered in neat way. Parang sineryoso ang paggamot dito habang tulog ako.
