Friend or Foe?

The morning rose and Chaeryeong is with Taehyun outside the school just like he asked her to go out with him in Saturday but she didn't expect it to be in the morning. They already took a bus for half an hour, "Where are you taking me?"

Taehyun didn't answer her instead he leads her out of the bus and drag her somewhere else. Chaeryoung is still new in Seoul and everytime they would pass a store or a building, Chaeryoung would say wow everytime

She didn't know where he led her and as minutes flew, they're now standing at a glorious library

It seems like a mansion in her opinion, it's really big and has a lot of books to cover. There's at least fifteen people including her and Taehyun

"Wow..." She was lost for words, the beauty it held is indescribable, Taehyun saw how her eyes would glimmer in delight everytime she sees something really fascinating and that made him smile unconsciously

He grabbed her wrist and guided her elsewhere in the library, "This is where I got most of my study needs." He said while handing a book

Taehyun only held it with his one hand even how thick and heavy it looks, Chaeryoung abruptly reached out and almost stumble in surprise by how heavy it was. It's a freaking dictionary in her opinion

She followed him like a lost puppy, afraid she might get lost in this gigantic library maze. Taehyun proceeds in taking many books but it looks like it's not like the book she gave Chaeryoung

They sat down in the nearest table and she started flipping the page of the book he gave, the content is almost like story telling but with educational opportunities

"No wonder your smart and unbeatable in school." She giggled, "Smart, yes. Unbeatable? I don't think so."

"Now that I remember. Congrats for climbing on the leaderboard." She smiled at him before returning her gaze on the book, "How did you discover this?" She queried, referring to the library

Taehyun shrugged, "Yeosang bought me here one time back when I'm still dumb." He chuckled

"You seemed really close to that guy. I heard you both competing and really smart." She said

He nodded, "That's only for fun. If one of us scored the highest, the other one would treat a meal for a day." She giggled, "Well now you have Ryujin unnie as one of your competitors. What was your reaction that time?" She averted her gaze to look at him

"Of course I'm shock, I didn't expect for Ryujin noona to be that smart along with Yuna." He flipped a page then gave it to her

"That's one of our lesson in Physics. It can be confusing but you'll get the hang of it." He smiled, "I'm afraid you'll be outsmarting me next semester." He muttered

Chaeryoung snortes unlady like, "Ease your worries, Taehyun. I'm not exactly a fan of attention."

His attention snapped at what she said, "Why is that?"

She shrugged indifferently, "I hate being in the spotlight. Especially when I heard Ryujin and Yuna beat you for the first time on their first week. I thought maybe I'd stay rooted in the shadows for a while."
