Jaemin's Plan

"What are you doing?!" The voice startled the girl who was drawing her scenery up ahead, closing her sketch book, she sighed and faced the boy, "I didn't actually think you're also good at drawings." He exclaimed as he sat beside her

"Well, now you know." Shrugging, she rested her sketchbook much closer to her and stood up

"Hey! I want to come with you!" He trailed her shadows and walked beside her, "I'm just going to have lunch. There's no need for you to follow me all the way there."

He shook his head defiantly, "I have nothing to do anyway, so I'm just going to accompany you the whole day."

"Unbelievable." She murmured to herself and ignored his presence behind her as she strolled in the main lobby of their orphanage

"Say Hussey-ssi, what do you think is the best food?" She pursued her lips and pivoted in a corner, "Pizza will always be my all time favorite and the best."

She heard a gasp from the boy, "Me too! I think that'll be my birthday present for you. When's your birthday?!" Shaking her head, she averred, "My birthday was on last December, Kai. It's currently February, I doubt you'll have my present anytime soon." She mused and got her food before sitting in a corner

"Wait, what?! I met you last October but you didn't even bother telling me?!" His rising voice made a few eyes turned at him in curiosity

"You're barely visiting this orphanage, Kai. Once a month, do you really think I'll just randomly mentioned my birthday?" She dead pan, sipping her drink afterwards

The boy pouted and slouched in his seat across her, "You can, not that I mind a loud mouth blabbering." He shrugged and wore a poutful expression, "Well, I'm not loud like you." She concluded

"Hey! At least I can make you laugh sometimes." Rolling her eyes in amusement, she ignored his constant weeping about he's so much of a laughter trigger, "Yes, yes. Fine! You are the laughter trigger between us." She flung her arms in the air

"You sounded like I forced you to say that." She face palmed herself and waved a dismissive hand, "I meant what I said but you can discern that whatever you want it to be."

"Do you know the meaning of my name means Bright?" He suddenly probed with inflated enthusiasm, eyes gleaming in gleeful reason

"Kai means Bright? I don't think so in Korean term, maybe in other language I guess." He nodded his vehemently and scoot closer to her, "Kai is actually just my Korean name, my actual name means Bright."

"No wonder you're always cheerful and very noisy. You seemed very Bright." She enunciated the last word with mock emphasis

But he totally disregarded her comment, "And I was wondering I should give you something that reminds me of you. More of a diamond, because diamonds are bright too." He clapped his hands like a kid he was and jumped up and down
