"hey seungmin." greeted hyunjin as he saw seungmin putting his books inside his locker. seungmin gulped and closed his locker, "h-hi hyunjin.." he greeted back, it's awkward because he stayed up late thinking about hyunjin, and how he stole his first kiss.

"are you.. heading for lunch?" asked hyunjin. seungmin nodded his head, "yeah, my friends are waiting." he said. hyunjin shrugged, "let's go together then."

they went to the cafeteria in awkward silence. seungmin had his head down low, while hyunjin was biting his lip. he hates the aura between seungmin and him, especially when it's awkward.

when they reached at the cafeteria, they saw that their friends are sitting together and eating their lunches together, so they both walked to the table and joined them.

"oh hi hyunjin, hi seungmin." said jeongin. they smiled to jeongin then ate their lunch. they were sitting across each other, their friends were minding their own businesses, talking non stop. but then changbin just had to stop them, "why is it so quiet?" he asked.

"i just literally screamed to your ear." said felix, rolling his eyes, "but yeah, it's kinda quiet and awkward. does it come from them?" he asked, pointing to seungmin and hyunjin. they stopped eating and looked at their friends, "w-what?" asked seungmin, then rolled his eyes, trying to act like nothing happened.

"you're stuttering." said jisung.

"im not!" he said.

"okay but why are you blushing?" asked minho. seungmin put down his chopsticks and squinted his eyes before walking away to somewhere only god knows.

"um.. what just happened?" asked chan. hyunjin drank his water and got up, "be right back." he said before running after seungmin. as he was away, jeongin hit their heads, "why did yall have to question him like that? maybe there's something going on with those two. seungmin haven't even forgave you guys, now he'll be twice more angrier with us." he shook his head.

felix face palmed himself, "you're right- but it's okay, we have our way." he said. he then took out an album and showed it to them, "it's day6, he'll do anything for day6. so let's go and find him! we must apologize to him!"

seungmin on the other side was crossing his arms and crouched on the floor, watching the calm water on the pool. he then heard footsteps behind him, "seungmin? what are you doing here?" asked hyunjin and crouched next to him. seungmin sighed, "nothing.. just chilling." he said then out his finger on the water and played with it.

hyunjin looked at seungmin then smiled, "do you miss your mother?" he asked. seungmin nodded his head, "yeah.. a lot." he said.

"why don't you go and meet them? im sure they missed you a lot too." he said. seungmin sighed once again, "my dad will find out.. he'll get mad at me." he said. hyunjin then ruffled seungmin's hair, "it's okay, just consider the day is our date and we're going to meet your mother, he won't find out only if we don't tell him." he said, "i'll help you, if you want me to." he said.

seungmin looked at hyunjin, "really?" he asked. hyunjin smiled and nodded, "of course, anything for a prince." he said. seungmin hit his arm, "shut up." he then smiled and hugged hyunjin, "thanks-"

"there you are!" yelled felix as he found seungmin. seungmin flinched at his voice and was about to fall into the pool, but hyunjin was quick to pull him, they then fell on the floor. seungmin was on top of hyunjin, his eyes went wide and immediately got up.

but when he was standing up, he lost balance and fell into the pool. "seungmin!!" yelled his friends. hyunjin cursed, "shit-" he turned around to looked at his friends, everyone is here. his eyes went wide, "guys, i think you guys should go." he said.

jisung gave the album to felix and ran towards the pool, "he's scared of water you dumbass!!" he yelled and jumped into the water to save seungmin, "no jisung!" hyunjin screamed and dived in. felix bite his lip as his friends are not coming up, he then gave the album to changbin, "damn it what took them so long? what if they're drowning?" he asked, while taking off his shirt. he then jumped into the pool.

the other boys ran towards the pool and looked down, it was kind of blurry, because all they light were turned off and the pool is shallow. all they saw were two white clothes, a brown and a blueish green.

"who the freak lost their shirt in there?" asked minho innocently. later then the three of them went to the surface of the pool and climbed up. felix had his eyebrow narrowed, with his fists balled. jisung was so pale, he was hugging his knees. while hyunjin he was worried.

"guys.. please go. classes is gonna start. i'll handle this alone. just.. go." he said.

"just shut your mouth! kim seungmin come up now!" yelled felix in anger. hyunjin looked at him, "what are you doing felix?! just go away!" he said. felix gave him a death glare and pushed hyunjin on the shoulders, "so you knew about this all along?" he asked.

"felix-"

"and that's why you've been sticking with him?" he asked. hyunjin sighed, "felix, just stop it."

"are you kidding me? who are you to stop me?" he said then walked near the pool, "kim seungmin!" he called. jisung was shivering, minho was there to calm him down and asked him what happened. jisung didn't say anything, he was just staring at the pool with his pale face.

"what are you guys talking about?" asked changbin to felix and hyunjin. felix turned to changbin and pointed to the pool, "something is in there. you wanna know who? it's your freaking bestie." he said.

hyunjin gritted his teeth and punched felix, "f*ck you! you deserved that!" he said, "he is someone and not something." he said, before throwing another punch in the face. jeongin and chan pulled hyunjin away while changbin held onto felix.

"what the hell are you guys talking about?!" yelled minho who was just staying calm for the whole time. later then they heard sniffing from the pool. hyunjin looked at it with his eyes widen, "seungmin. no." he whispered.

"s..stop this mess.." whispered seungmin.

"was it us who started this mess? i think you should say that to yourself."

"lee felix!" yelled jisung, he finally speaks up. he stood up and pushed felix in madness, "you're too much! he is our best friend! we knew each other since we're little! whatever you're doing is hurting him! you're freaking heartless! get back to your sense lee felix!" he said with tears flowing out nonstop.

"your hair..y-your a merman?" whispered jeongin as he saw a tail under the water. seungmin didn't answer him, he just kept crying and listened to his best friends arguing. hyunjin on the other side was running to the changing room to get seungmin a towel and also an extra clothes.

"yeah, 'best friends'. what kinda best friends didn't tell about himself? for fvck sake han jisung, we've been friends for eight years! eight years han jisung! and he didn't tell us about this? but he managed to tell this to someone he barely knew? they even lied to us!" said felix.

hyunjin helped seungmin and seungmin wore hyunjin's shorts. hyunjin wrapped the towel around seungmin's body. they friends' eyes went wide as they saw seungmin's tail and how he changed back into human, but they kept quiet.

seungmin wiped his non stop tears and looked at his best friends, "i-im sorry.." he said.

"as you should be." said felix. changbin sighed at his weird behavior and dragged him out of the pool. seungmin fell down the ground and cried, "im sorry.. im so sorry.." he apologized while crying.

jisung bit his lower lip to prevent from crying. he then ran towards seungmin and gave him a hug, "don't apologize.. it's not your fault. we're should be the one who needs to apologize. i'm sorry seungmin. im sorry for everything that happened. im sorry on behalf felix. he must be so disappointed and mad. he'll get over it soon. don't cry.." he said, patting seungmin's back.
