"i saw the real thing right? it's not a prank or something right?" asked hyunjin then went under the water to look back at his tail and yes, the tail is still there. he then got back up, "seungmin what the heck?!"

seungmin sniffed and wiped his tears then swam away to the floor, "c-can you give me a towel?" he asked. hyunjin climbed up and took a towel then gave it to seungmin.

hyunjin helped seungmin to get into the floor while seungmin covered his tail. as he was completely out of the water, in five seconds his tail changed back into legs and his hair went back to brown. hyunjin can't believe his eyes. he literally thought, "im living in a fantasy"

"what an actual freak- i think im gonna pass out." said hyunjin, breathing heavily. seungmin got up and took his trousers that was on the floor, "do you have any extra clothes?" seungmin asked, sniffing.

"u-uh yes, let's go together.. i'm gonna change.. too.." said hyunjin. they walked together to the changing room. hyunjin opened his locker and gave seungmin his hoodie and some shorts. seungmin took it and walked away. hyunjin was left perplexed and dumbfounded.

he then took another pair of clothes and changed. as he was done, he sat on the bench, waiting for seungmin. after minutes of waiting, seungmin finally came out from the changing room.

he took glance at hyunjin then walked closer to him, only to take his backpack and walked away. hyunjin got up and walked after him, "seungmin.."

"don't tell anyone." he simply said, "or you'll regret it." he said. his eyes were puffy and nose was red.

"but.."

"don't talk to me." seungmin sniffed then walked away, leaving hyunjin behind.

when seungmin reached his house, he went straight to his room and it surprised his father. usually seungmin would greet him when he came home. his father then decided to let him be, his son needs some time alone too.

he went inside his room and dropped himself on his bed, he stared at the ceiling.

"what if he tells someone?"
"what if everyone knows that im a merman?"
"what if everyone starts to look at me differently?"
"what if my friends.. don't want to be with me anymore?"
"what will happen to me?"
"am i gonna be wanted?"
"are they gonna kill me?"

seungmin broke into tears once again as he overthink things. his door then knocked by his father. his dad opened the door and saw his son is crying. he walked closer to him and sat on his bed.

"seungmin.. what happened?" he asked, wiping off his tears. seungmin sat down and hugged his father, "d-dad.. im scared.." he cried.

his father hugged him back, "what? what are you scared of? what happened?" he asked while patting seungmin's back.

"if i tell dad the truth.. what will he do?"
"what will happen to hyunjin?"
"everyone is gonna be curious.."
"should i tell him?"

"i'm scared that someone might find out the real me.." he said under his sobs.
