One week in Quarantine and Lauren is Thriving! Joey not so much.
"Come on JoJo, wake up. I'm going to cook us a good breakfast." Joey groans and opens his eyes slowly. He's not too fond in waking up and getting ready for a day of nothing again. Lauren smiles and plants a firm kiss on his lips. This wakes him up quick smart as he kisses her back. Lauren lets out a small giggle and Joey uses this to his advantage and starts to explore her mouth and deepens the kiss. Lauren enjoys this for a while before she pulls away, patting Joey on the chest and smirking as he groans. "Come on babe, there's plenty of that to go around." She wiggles her eyebrows as she gets up and pulls his Solve it Squad sweatshirt over her head, Joey very much enjoys that it covers her shorts so much that it almost looks like she has nothing else on. "You need to take Diane out to the bathroom while I make breakfast". Joey gets himself up and takes Diane out the kitchen door, Lauren giving her a quick kiss on the head and him a quick pat on the ass as they leave.
When Joey and Diane return from their trip to the courtyard Lauren is plating up breakfast with her phone tucked between her ear and shoulder. When I look at her she mouths *Mia*. Joey nods and puts Diane back down and she runs to Lauren to say hi. "hey princess" she whispers. "Yeah Mia, we're doing okay. You know me, I like having my own time in my own space. I really do miss you guys though we had a lot of things coming up as a group." Joey takes a piece of bacon and splits it with Diane earning him a slap on the wrist. "Sorry Mi, I have to go before Jo and Diane eat all my bacon. Miss you, we'll video chat soon or something! Byee!"
Lauren passes Joey his plate and pecks his cheek as they make their way to the table. As they eat Joey questions "Why did Mia call?" Lauren shrugs "I don't know really, just checking in." They finish eating their breakfast and clean up from their meal. Lauren sits herself down with a cup of tea at her puzzle. This one has taken her longer than most and she's determined to get it done. "I'm going to get in the shower babe." Joey informs Lauren as he gives her shoulders a squeeze and pecks her head. "MmmKay" she murmurs, deep in thought.
About 10 minutes later Joey sits down beside Lauren with his computer, checking emails. Lauren looks up and lets out a giggle. "Can't be bothered to get dressed today JoJo?" Lauren comments on the fact that Joey is only wearing his bright yellow bathrobe.
"Why?" mumbled Joey, "I only see you at the moment and you only care about what's under the robe." Lauren cracks up at her boyfriend's corny joke but ends her chuckle with a smirk, knowing that statement is somewhat correct. She leans over to kiss him but is interrupted by a phone call.
"Mia's calling again..." lauren states curiously. "Hey M, what's up this time?... What.... Okay!! See You Guys Soon." Joey raises an eyebrow"Huh, see them soon? wha-" Lauren grabs Joey's hand and drags him out the door "Lo, I'm wearing- OMG Dare, Mia, Hii!" Joey tightens his robe and calls out to their friends standing in the courtyard below. Lauren jumps up and down all giddy, excited to see their friends. They stood out on the balcony chatting for just over 2 hours.
As their friends pull away, Lauren notices their friends taking photos. She shrugs it off. She knows that Mia and Darren won't do anything to out them as a couple.
An hour later Joey and Lauren are sitting eating chips and salsa on the couch and watching some movie that Lauren doesn't have much interest in. She's scrolling instagram while snuggled into Joey's side.
Lauren gasps "Mia posted the picture to her story. She didn't tag us, you can't tell it's us." Joey looks at the photo and laughs. Lauren sighs.
"What's the problem then?" Joey asks.
"I kind of want people to know that's us... the goofball in the yellow robe and the comfy girl who's living her best life. I'm so happy right now and I want to share that." Joey raises an eyebrow as she continues, "Most our fans know we live in the same place, it's going to come out that we're quarantined together sooner or later."
"And why are we getting existential over this photo?" Joey questions.
"I'm going to share a screenshot of it!" Lauren states
Joey doesn't argue. He knows she doesn't normally put so much thought into what she shares online. But he too is happy for this small step towards being open on their status, even if it is just their Quarantine status.
After Lauren adds a tag and funny gif she presses post and puts her phone down.
Joey pulls Lauren onto his lap and kisses her passionately. Being stuck home with this woman isn't so bad.
