The sky is bright and blue while thick clouds ride the wind as the airplane passes through them. It's been 7 years since she left the country for the career that she chose. Now she's back, and still because of work.

Her thoughts are as many as the clouds and as wide as the sky. It has been a long time, but why are the feelings still the same? Just when she thought she was brave enough and had forgotten the painful past, everything is slowly filling her soul like blood rushing through her vain.

"I can't wait to stretch my legs"

The voice of the man beside him snaps her out of her thoughts. She looks at him while he gently massages his thighs.

"30 minutes more and we'll be off this plane, Mark"

"Yeah, I can't believe the management sent us to prepare everything for them. Anyway, we only have to be here for a year then we can go back to New York"

Jodi hums in response thinking a year would only fly so fast. She's only here because of work, nothing else but work.

"Hey" Mark poke Jodi on her shoulder. "I know this is kinda personal, but do you think you could see your ex and..."

"No" Jodi didn't even let him finish what he's about to say. "Don't even mention anything about him, please"

Jodi furrows her eyebrows and exhales heavily hoping to wipe the thoughts inside her head. All those years are not enough to prepare her for this conversation.

"Okay, I won't ask anymore"

The boy sleeping next to her groans as he stretches his short arms and wakes up. Jodi's face lights up seeing the kid slowly open his cute little eyes and smile as soon as he sees her.

"Hi mommy"

"Did you sleep well, honey?"

"I did, but I'm a bit thirsty right now"

Jodi takes out the bottled water from her bag, she twisted the cap, and hands it to her son.

Her adorable son, Yuri.

She can still remember how hard it was starting from her pregnancy to giving birth and raising Yuri on her own. It was hard even for couples, much harder for a single mother like her.

When she found out that she's pregnant the first thing that came to her mind was Yoongi. She thought Yoongi needs to know, not to ask him to get back with her, but because he is going to have a child. She thought it is the right thing to do.

Jodi called Yoongi's cellphone and office many times but he never answers nor returns her calls. She left him voicemails asking him to call her back because there's something important she needs to tell him, but Yoongi never calls.

She tried reaching Yoongi's friends but none of them is willing to talk to her. She preferred to tell the matter only to Yoongi since it's too personal. But after trying to reach him for more than a month, she finally gave up when she got a voicemail from Yoongi asking her to stop bothering him and his friends. She thought everything about them has really ended when Yoongi left her.

It was then she decided to stand on her own feet and handle everything by herself. She knew it will be hard but she's more excited now that she will never be alone anymore.

Her pregnancy was not easy. She felt nauseous and dizzy most of the time. Good thing that her bosses are considerate with regards to her situation. Mark was also there for her whenever she needed help with anything. Mark has been a good friend to her. He is her best friend.

Mark was all she got when she gave birth to Yuri. Though it was a normal delivery her recovery was not as easy as other women. Her body hurts all the time that made it hard for her to move. It was harder than she thought, but she endures all of it.
