"Good morning, how are you feeling?" He shocked my hand.
"Good morning. I'm ok"
"New nurse?" He said, stretching out his hand towards Sanem, she smiled at him shaking it.
"No," I smiled at him. "This is Sanem. My girlfriend." And he smiled at me, then he looked at Sanem. "Nice to meet you." And she gave him a soft smile.
"She doesn't speak English."
"Ohh. Ok. Where is she from?" And he sat on the bed in front of us.
"Well, do you remember I mentioned to you, that I wanted to go to Turkey to visit my dad?" He nodded. "Her and I were a couple before I left Turkey, but life happened and we split up. When I went to visit my dad, we came across again, and we fixed things and now she's here with me." I happily told him, holding on to her hands.
"Well, I'm happy for you." He smiled at me. "Plus I can see you still love each other, and that all that matters."
"Yes, it does." I said looking at Sanem who had a huge question mark all over her face but I smiled at her and she smiled back.
"Well I would like to talk about your blood work." And I did a head nod, bringing my attention back to him. "As I have told you previously, you're responding perfectly well to treatment. So, because your levels are looking good, and not just these lab work, but the previous three have also looked good. We can start to do treatment and radiation every three months instead of every month, and if you keep progressing the way you are going, we could start spacing them out even more until you are cancer free.
"What?" I happily asked.
"Can, what, what happened?"
"Sanem..." was all I could say before I hugged her not being able to hold my tears in.

"Can? What's going on?" She asked again. I separated the hug and whipped my tears. "Sanem, I'm going to start to do treatment every three months."
"Wait," I can see the excitement in her eyes. "Does that mean ...?" And I nodded with a huge smile. "Really Can. Really?" and she looked at the doctor. He nodded with a soft smile, then she looked back at me. "Ohh, BEBEK! This is AMAZING!" She was almost yelling in excitement, I nodded as I felt tears build up again, and we hugged.
