Chapter 12: Friends get suspicious

Cindy's POV

I look into his eyes, anger and defeat running through my veins

I notice he isn't gonna budge anytime soon and he has his knee between my legs, he knows me too well.

I sigh "What do you want Chase?"

"What do I want?!! You've been running from me since end of summer break!" He exclaims

"Seriously? You really didn't know?"

"Know what?! I don't know what you're talking about! Listen, all I know is that you're my girlfriend and I love you" he states, shrugging

I start crying. Yep, the tears just start falling, His eyes widen and he immediately tries to clean them with shaky hands

"W-what's wrong? D-did I say anything wr-wrong?"

"You idiot, you cheated on me with China, and now you think I didn't know and you're coming here tell me that you love me!"

I yell and he freezes, I check the time on the clock, 4 minutes to start of the test.

"Y-you, h-how did you- who told you that if it was China she's lying!" He stutters and I just shake my head

"I saw you guys, last party of the summer, wanted to surprise you at your house since the party was there, but I saw you guys in your room."

"Shit. Listen I was stoned and she took me upstairs, i-"

"Look Chase, I'm fine I really don't care, I just have to get to class" I say and try to come out from his arms that are caging me but he just leans in and kisses me, I get filled with so many emotions

Sadness, hurt, pleasure, but most especially anger, I may still like his kisses, but I hate him. I push him away and ignore the hurt that flashes in his eyes which turn to anger

He holds my jaw, his fingers digging into my skin

"Ow" I say

"You are still my girlfriend, got it"

"No I'm not, I hate you" I spit out ignoring the pain in my jaw, that's gonna leave marks, he closes his eyes, inhales and mutters

"You've left me with no choice sweetheart, I can't lose you. You know it's our parents that set us up" he says, smirking

Shit. Almost forgot, our parents are business partners so to boost their business, my parents set us up, if they find out that we broke up, they'd force us back together so it's like there's no hope. Damn you mom and dad!

I look at Chase who is still looking at me with a raised eyebrow, he's hot, I'm not gonna lie and he was a sweetie when we were dating, perfect gentleman, I actually really liked him.

When I saw him with China that was the day I had my first heartbreak and trust me he's not my first boyfriend, he can get super creepy and stalker ish at times though, and gets jealous a lot.

Amelia said he seemed obsessed with me when we were dating, she didn't like him one bit, Lindsy also said to be careful. When he's angry he goes to alcohol and drugs unless I'm there.

So with all these, I think it's pretty obvious that there are more problems but I don't have a choice right? and I also like his kisses. I sigh and kiss him, he doesn't hesitate to kiss me back.

We break the kiss and he smiles, I smile back and he runs his thumb on my cheek, it was small gestures like this that made me like him in the first place.

"The thing with China, I'm sorry, she drugged me, I didn't know what I was doing until I woke up to her rushing out and saw the empty ziplock on the floor.
When I confronted her, she said she liked me, and she wanted everything you had, I told her that she was a jealous bitch, but she just laughed and said, she hoped you saw us. I'm sorry" he explains
