Trailing behind Mrs. Addington, I was amazed by the school.

Where the outside had looked rundown and abandoned, the inside looked like it was fit for a king.

Or like six.

When I had arrived, all I could pay attention to was how the school looked. I didn't once acknowledge the size.

This place was hugeeee and it was filled with students ranging in different shapes, sizes and shades of brown.

Although school wasn't set to start until next Monday, a whole five days, it seemed as though almost everyone had gotten here already.

Some were walking in groups and laughing, while others were rushing off as if they were late for class.

One thing they all had in common though, was their unearthly beauty. It was like I had stepped onto a movie set.

I knew I was gawking but I couldn't help it.

How the hell was I supposed to fit in here?

"Keep up, Selambria. I will not keep going in search of you."

I was surprised I was able to pick up her voice amidst all of the noise. She hadn't even bothered waiting for me, she was already weaving in and out of students.

Man, did I hate this lady.

Mumbling to myself, I picked up my pace a little. Luckily I caught up to her in a few steps. I didn't know how much longer I could go, my arms were starting to feel as if they were about to fall off. She had set such a brisk pace the moment I first caught up to her earlier. Keeping up with her since then had been difficult, and the bags in my hands weren't making it any easier.

Ugh, and don't get me started on Ms. Addington.

She was so oblivious to the fact that I was genuinely struggling to keep up. One second though, maybe she just didn't care. It was almost like she was on autopilot. With one foot in front of the other, she just kept walking and turning when she needed to. She didn't even take time to explain the rooms or the halls we were taking and passing.

I couldn't imagine ever getting the layout of this school down. As my shoulders sagged forward a little, I realized I was sure to get lost the next time I was on my own and I hated being lost.

After about seven or so minutes of walking, she stopped at a door with the numbers 11/11 on the front. Stepping to the side, she waited a few seconds as I stood there panting.

"This will be your room for the next two years. Junior year, this year obviously, will be the easiest year by far but do not think that you can slack off for a second. If you're able to pass this year, you'll go on to Senior year. And if you pass that year, well, I won't waste my breath telling you what happens. So to conclude this, treat this room with respect and care. I doubt your mother could afford to pay for any.. extra expenses." She smirked.

I stopped myself from rolling my eyes.

"Here are your keys. Dinner is at 6 in the West Cafe." Handing me my two keys, she turned and headed in the direction we had just came from.

"Wait, where's th-" Before I could even finish my sentence, she was gone.

Turning back towards my new room, I used one of my keys and opened the door to my new home, and almost fell back in shock. The room that was meant to board me for the next two years and possibly more, was huge compared to my little cupboard of a room back at my moms.
