The Girl With The Red Bandana (TWD FANFIC)

A fight, food and some answers

Rose's POV

I woke up to the familiar feeling of numbness and restraints keeping me captive on my bed. I struggled against them and nothing. I took the hairpin that kept my bandana around my neck and tried to pick the lock. No such luck. I heard Bill and Mike coming down the hall, probably to take me for my next test with Dr jenner . I lay back down and closed my eyes, pretending to still be out cold.

Bill walked in first. " should she still be asleep?" The fear and a tinge of concern laced his voice. Mike sighed. " d'you think we were too hard on her ? I mean we both hit her pretty hard and Edwin didn't like the state she came here in." Wow these guys might actually care. Mike smirked."yea I know but she deserved it in my eyes, that was the fourth time in a month she got out. " Bill sighed a heavy sigh. " yea right , come on before she wakes up and goes mental. Hurry up grab her legs." My eyes shoot open as the last restraint is unlocked.

I jump up and sucker punch mike in the jaw and then I kick bill in the gut  and run out my room locking the door behind me. I run down the hall into the cafeteria where Dr Jenner was sitting drinking coffee. " for god's sake Edwin don't you get the hint? I DON'T BELONG HERE AND I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE !! " I scream at him. He looks up at me with a calm face. "Oh Rose, glad to see you've finally woken up, shall we begin the last test? " I back away slowly as if he was trying to kill me.

"I told you, I don't want anymore tests, miracle drugs, or anything you offer me, or rather force me to take. I am not your guinea pig jenner." I stare at him with cold eyes only to be stared at by his own. "If you want to carry on living you'll do whatever and take whatever I give or tell you to do. Are we clear !" He whisper yells at me. I gear up a comeback just as an alarm sounds and Bill and Mike charge in. "Uh boss we have company."

Edwin looks at me "get to your room. If you do so much as look at them, bill, mike, she's yours." I glance at bill and mike with digust as they both look at me lustfully. " I so hope you all rot in hell "I state walking past Jenner. I slip behind a door and watch as he lifts his gun and walks to the door, bill and mike round the corner and shove me in my room and lock the door.

I scream in frustration. " you can't keep me locked up in this place forever ! I will get out and I will kill you all ! " I hear the front shutter open and a familiar voice. "Hey let us in please, we have children." I know that voice. I hear Jenner saying "what do you want  " then the voice again. " all we want is a chance. " I hear Jenner sigh and say something to do with blood. Then the door shuts. I get so frustrated with straining to hear anything that I manage to pass out.

(4 hours later) still Rose's POV

I come back to the land of the living. But this time it feels strange. I get up to open my door and find it locked, still. I start banging on it and Mike unlocks it. "What'd you want ? Besides a good kicking ?" He glares at me. " oh give over you ass, I hurt you worse than that before. " I say back, which causes him to fly at me punching me in the face.

I lunge back at him forgetting that he's stronger and he throws me down the hall. I get back up ignoring the feeling that I'm being watched. He gives me a swift right hook and I kick him. Hard. He goes down and I run Down the hall towards the cafeteria. He thunders after me. I nearly make it but he grabs my hair and throws me through the double doors, making me land on a table, he follows me through and starts to strangle me, I claw at his throat, remembering my dagger and go to draw it out when Jenner clears his throat. " Rose. We have guests."

Mike glares at me and I smirk. "Watch your back sunshine." I look at him. "Whatever asshole." This time he grabs my dagger and lunges at me, but doesn't get far when a guy stands in front of me. " now I wouldn't do that if I were you " I can hear a southern accent in his voice. Bill comes up behind me and starts to drag me away. I elbow him and spin around kicking him in the gut and making him fly backwards into a wall knocking him out cold.

I slump on the ground exhausted and only starting to feel the pain and the adrenaline fades away. I go to stand up again to leave the room and I fall to the ground and let darkness consume me.

Daryl's POV ( in the CDC cafeteria)

When the strange guy finished explaining how he was the only one left, noises were coming from the hall to the right, the occasional thump and sound of something being hit, hard. Jenner looked towards the hall nervous and angry at the same time. " so this is were all the food is, so please help yourself" I don't care how hungery I am as soon as I walked over to the fridge I spied a bottle of wine and immediately started drinking. We were all happy. Eating, laughing , it was like there was no such thing as walkers. We all heard another crash and stood up ready for anything.

That's when a girl came flying through the doors and landed on my table with a sickening thud. I was really surprised when she went to stand up but a guy followed her through and starts to strangle her, she claws at his throat, trying to reach for a dagger in her boot when Jenner clears his throat. " Rose. We have guests." The guy pushes off her and I've seen her before, but seeing her up close is mesmeeising , she is beautiful. I'm glued to my spot, I can't move. I have a strong urge to protect her and I don't even know her.

The guy glares at her and the girl smirks. "Watch your back sunshine." She looks at him. "Whatever asshole." This time he grabs her dagger and lunges at the girl, but doesn't get far when I charge and stand in front of her. " now I wouldn't do that if I were you " I say to him daring him to hurt her further.

Another guy comes up behind me and starts to drag the girl away. She elbows him and spins around kicking him in the gut and making him fly backwards into a wall knocking him out cold.

She then slumps on the ground exhausted and probably only starting to feel the pain and the adrenaline fades away. She goes to stand up again to leave the room and falls, before she hits the grounds I catch her and lift her on to a table.

Dr Jenner looks very pissed. He looks at the two guys. "Bill,Mike, what did I tell you to do ? I give you one simple job and you fail. Take her out of my sight. NOW!" The two guys grab the girl from me and walk down the hall. I look at Rick. He looks at Jenner and states " you have a lot of explaining to do. Starting with her." I grab and seat and everyone copies me. Looking at the guy for answers. Its gonna be a long night.
