Mutants...

Born with extraordinary abilities.

And yet, still, they are all children stumbling in the dark.

Searching for guidance.

A gift can often be a curse.

Give someone wings and they may fly too close to the sun.

Give them the power of prophecy... And they may live in fear of the future.

Give them the greatest gifts of all, powers beyond imagination... and they may think they're meant to rule the world.

Rebel gasped as she felt another mutant manifest their ability through Cerebro.

"Did you find another one?" Hank asked as she rubbed her temples with her hands after exiting Cerebro, and a nod was the only answer he needed.

"Yeah I did. You're never gonna believe who I think he is." She said as she walked with him out of Cerebro.

"Did you contact Atlanta already?" He asked and she looked at him and nods with a 'well duh!', sort of expression... all over her face. "Okay bad question."

He says with a grin, as she clapped him on the back and walked away to teach her telekinesis class, which also doubled as the history class for now.

Not very far away

Atlanta knocked on the door of the Summers' family house and she looks in the window, unsurprised to see her best friend standing in the window.

"I guess we're more alike then we thought." Alex said as his mother had opened the door to let her inside.

"Dive! Oh, it's so good to see you again." Mrs. Summers said and Dive chuckled as she got crushed in a huge hug.

Then she looked at Alex over his mom's shoulder and 'Help Me', was written all over her face, as he smiles at her.

"Okay. Okay, mom. I think you might be maybe squeezin' her just a little bit, too tightly for comfort." He says, as his mom released her.

"Thanks." Dive said, inhaling a deep breath quickly after and then shaking hands with Mr. Summers who nods to her.

"He won't listen to us. He's just... he's being..." His mother seems stuck on a word to describe it.

"Being Alex?" Atlanta questioned.

"Being Scott?" Alex said at the same time as the two parents looked at each other. Alex chuckles as Atlanta leaned slightly on his shoulder and he smiled slightly a bit. "Let me try." He said and Atlanta followed him upstairs.

They were driving down the road towards Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and Atlanta took a deep breath of air as they walked into the house.

"Smells pretty old in here. Is this a school or a museum?" Scott asked as they guided him down the steps.

"Alex!" They heard someone shout and Alex staggered back with a grunt and wide smiles as Rebel cannoned at him at once as soon as she heard the thoughts of Atlanta.

"Ow. Hi Rebel." Alex says quickly as he hugged the youngest of the Kinetic trio. "This is my little brother Scott. He is the new mutant you sensed I think."

He nudged Scott and Scott's eyes narrowed beneath the bandages. "I can't see anything. But uh, hi I guess? I think you're the one that was held in prison with my brother right?" He asked and caused quite a few winces that he didn't even see.

"Uh yeah, I'm Rebel. Most people around here call me Instinct. I'm a teacher here, just like your brother used to be." Rebel said, holding out her hand for a shake. Alex guided his brother's hand out to shake hers.

"I could show you what I look like. Just give me a second, and Alex don't you move." She said.

"Yes Ma'am." Alex said with a grin on his face and she glared at him, and he stood up straight, looking at her.

Suddenly, Scott was seeing the world through different eyes. In front of him was a girl who must be Rebel, she had glowing blue eyes more ice color than Dive's.

"They taught us about you two in school. The two most inspirational mutants in history, well who are on the right side of it, anyways." Scott said and Alex sighed and was flat out glad that Scott couldn't see anymore.

"Jean Gray, get out of his head right now." Rebel snapped at the empty air that Scott was talking to.

"Who?" Alex asked and she laughed quietly at him but sighed as well. Dive shakes her head at them both.

"Jean Gray is the younger, slightly more disturbed although, much more talkative version of Rebel. She has the same abilities, at around the same level of power. But Rebel has more control." Atlanta explained.

"O-okay. Good to know that there is a... what? The third telepath hanging around town now?" Alex asked and a growl came from Rebel. "That was not meant to be a insult Rebel, you know that." He said.

"Alex Summers?" Hank McCoy came down the stairs, holdin' a folder in his arm.

"Hank McCoy! But... what happened to the big, blue and furry you?" Alex's expression was confused.

"I keep him under control now. Better then I used to anyways." Hank says, as Alex nodded.

"Hopefully you don't go back to being a bozo to him again." Atlanta says and Alex grunts painfully at the reminder.

"This is my brother, Scott." Alex said and nudged his brother in the ribs as gently as he could, while Scott just let out a low grunt.

"Hey Scott, I'm Hank McCoy. I'm one of the teachers here." He said as Scott let out yet another grunt.

"Where's the Professor?" Alex asked with a roll of his eyes at his brother's attitude, and Hank nodded quickly.

Atlanta followed them, her hands shoved into her pockets as her and Alex's kids, were among the ones that of whom were sitting in the class.

"To break forth bloodily, then the past must be obliterated, and a new start made. Let us now start fresh without remembrance, rather than live forward and backward at the same time." Charles says as he rotated in his wheelchair as he read.

"Now what on earth do we think that the author meant... when he wrote all that?"

He asked, as hands went up all over the room and the twins cleanly leapt out of their seats, when they saw their parents both of them standing outside the room, there.

"That is going to be your assignment for tomorrow,. Top marks, everyone. Class dismissed."

He said and as soon as he said that, the twins rushed to their parents and began both talking at once.
