[3] The New Ones {X-Men Apocalypse}

"Hello again, Moira." Rebel said, nearly startling, almost everybody in the room at her sudden appearance.

The door to Cerebro opened and Charles led the way in, followed by Hank and Raven, then Rebel, Atlanta and Alex, with Moira bringing up the rear.

"Moira, I'm going to have to ask you, to keep this a secret." He calls back to her as the doors swiftly closed behind them all.

"I don't even know anything about what this even... is." Moira said as the entire group looked around and she'd lower her head slightly.

Atlanta sighed as Charles looked at Rebel. "Do you want to do it?" He asks and she shrugged slightly, and then was crouching where he usually had his wheelchair placed.

"Are you sure? Can you control your power?" Hank asked and Rebel looks at him.

"This isn't telekinesis, McCoy. I can handle Cerebro. I promise." Rebel says and inhaled a big breath sharply, as he gave her the helmet.

Rebel put it onto her head and grunted quietly under her breath as she shut her eyes, looking for focus a bit first, as Hank turned the dials.

"We're looking for Erik." Raven reminded and Rebel growled at her and Alex looked at Rebel, who's eyes began to glow, as her power focused.

"What are those?!" Moira gasped out to them all, as all of the white specks, that indicated humans showed in the room.

"Those are all of the humans in the world right now." Charles said to her as Rebel was too focused to speak and Charles looked at her. "You all right?"

He asked quietly and suddenly everything turned red around them and Charles smiled. "And these... are all the mutants." He said and Rebel's eyes glowed brighter.

"My mind is connected to all of them now, as is Charles', when he is the one who is using Cerebro." Rebel said, and the mutants began to disappear as she focused on finding one in particular.

"The CIA would kill for this." Moira said with a chuckle as she looked all around them and Charles looks to her as Rebel winced at the thought of it all being in the hands of the CIA.

"I know they would." Charles said sternly as Rebel shakes her head at Moira. "Where are you, Erik?" Charles asked and Rebel thought the same.

"Charles, you should speak through my mind. I'm wearing the helmet, but you need to speak. He won't listen to my reason, but you can bring him, to his senses." Rebel says and Charles' eyes widened slightly.

"Are you certain? You don't like it when I'm in your head." He said and she shook her head.

"Don't show me any memories of my own and we will get along brilliantly, now do it. I've found him." Rebel says and focused.

"Rebel? Charles?"

"Hello, old friend." Charles began speaking through Rebel, who held her focus on Erik and only Erik's mind. As they both focused, tears slipped down both of their cheeks.

"I'm sorry. I am so sorry! I feel your pain. And your loss." Charles whispers and Erik snorted from his end of the connection.

"You think that because you can see into my head... you know how it feels?"

"You're looking in the wrong place, Charles."

"What happened to them, it was terribly wrong. But come back to us, Erik. I can help you." Charles said as tears began to fall once again.

"Help me?"

"Think of your wife, think of your daughter. What would they have both wanted?"

"They would have wanted to live. I tried your way, Charles. I tried to be like them. Live like them. But it always ends the same way. They took again, everything away from me. Now... we'll take everything from them."

Rebel gasped as Charles pulled out of her mind and she focused harder. "He isn't alone. Hank. He's not alone." She said.

Suddenly Cerebro had begun to turn purple, and Rebel's eyes and Charles' had as well turned purple.

"Rebel, get out of there! Charles, get out of her head!" Hank shouted and Charles managed to get out, but Rebel was now completely stuck in Cerebro.

"Someone's taken over Cerebro. They have taken control of it." Hank said as Rebel began to shake, her hands going towards her head.

"To do what?!" Raven shouted at Hank, and he looked at them all in shock.

"To connect." He said.

Suddenly, now every weapon in the world was being launched straight up into the air.

"No more stones. No more spears. No more slings. No more swords. No more weapons! No more systems! No more!"

Rebel gasped as she clenched her head harder and whimpered at the presence in her head that she couldn't get rid of.

"No more superpowers."

"Rebel!" Hank shouted and in a desperate bid to get it off of her head, he tried to grab at it, causing sparks to fly off of it as she began to scream.

"Hank!" Raven and Alex shouted as Rebel began to scream louder at the shock of everything.

"Alex! Destroy it! Destroy everything! Destroy Cerebro!" Charles shouted, at him in desperation as Rebel cries out, and Alex stood in front of the control board. "Wreck havoc!" Charles shouts and Rebel screamed all the louder, as Alex did exactly that.

"You can fire your arrows from the Tower of Babel... but you can never, strike, God!"

Then Cerebro was destroyed, Alex was almost passed out and both of the telepaths were knocked out.

Charles was knocked out from being inside Rebel's head and Rebel was out from being the unfortunate one, who was in the helmet.

"Oh god, Rebel!" Hank shouted as he pulled off the helmet and Alex carried her out of the room, as the others, all wheeled Charles out of the room.

"Charles." Hank said.

"Rebel?" Atlanta asked as she crouched next to the youngest and brightest of them, her eyes wide with worry and fear.

"She's breathing. But no doubt, she's totally passed the point of what she's ever done before." Alex spoke up and he hugs Rebel, checkin' her pulse with two fingers again.

Suddenly, there was a strange noise that echoed in the hallway. Everyone looked up except for the two telepaths and Magneto stood there with four of the almost normal looking mutants all except for one.

Erik held out his hand and suddenly both Charles and Rebel were dragged down towards the group.

"Charles!" Raven screamed.

"Rebel!" Alex shouted opposite her.

Then, suddenly as a impulsive Alex charged and fired a beam again, the beam ended up hitting the war plane.

"Alex!" Atlanta shouted as the explosion went off, but the group of enemies had already gone.
