"Be careful everyone. You don't want to trip and hurt yourself." Sahadev said while adjusting his dhoti.
"When will we reach? I can't stand Sahadev squabbling about everything." Bheem said poking Sahadev.
"Don't leave patience Arya. We soon will reach." Draupadi's calm voice came. Bheem smirked. They already have travelled through uncountable days and yojnas.
After a while Draupadi's step began to tremble. She unknowingly stepped into a pebble.
"Arya... I think...Aryaaaaa...." Her voice drowned. The brothers were paralyzed.
"No no not her...Panchali! PANCHALIIII!" Bheem was the first to find his voice. Screaming at the top of his lungs.
"I think... she's gone. Her time... arrived." Nakul stammered.
Arjun looked at the foot of the Himalayas. Should I go down and look for her? No...how... I can't. He thought about all the time he couldn't show love to her as much as Subhadra. Subhadra lived with me. Draupadi was the only one my brothers had.
" I loved you. Always. I know you know." He whispered in the distance."Why jyestha? Why her first?" Bheem said to Yudhisthir.
Yudhisthir couldn't say a word. He didn't looked back, didn't mourned. Just silently shed his tears
"I don't know. Vanity. Maybe." Saying thus Yudhisthir looked at Arjun.
Jyestha knows. He didn't want others to know.
Draupadi loved them. All. But deep in her heart the warrior sage that pierced the eye of the fish always had a special place in her heart. Arjun.
They started to walk again. Nakul was the next to go.
He just disappeared in thin air. Bheem just silently mourned for his favourite brother. Sahadev don't you dare to go. Bheem wanted to hold Sahadev's hand but the family babe was nowhere to find.
"Jyestha they are gone. Both of them.""What? They are our little brother we can't let them just go." Arjun said.
Jyestha is in pain. He won't show us.
Arjun went to his brother and hugged him. Just like the time when Yudhisthir used to cradle Arjun in his arms. Bheem came and hugged them too. The Kaunteya brothers found their peace amongst each other. They proceeded."Jyestha...my knees...I can't." Arjun said.
"No no you walk...Bheem carry this boy." Yudhisthir held Arjun's hand not ready to let go.
"I will wait. For all of you. You go Dharmaraj." Saying thus Arjun squatted and was gone.
"Feels like the day I lost everyone of you in the Dyut sabha." Yudhisthir said choking.
Bheem didn't said anything. Just hugged his elder brother. Jyestha doesn't want to show his pain.
"We both know Jyestha who will go next. I don't want you to say anything now. I want my peaceful hermitage in your arms."
Both of them walked.Bheem fell. The whole mountain shaked.
"Bheem! No no...no....NOOOO!""Dharmaraj do you want to come down? Are u fine?" Said Indra
Oh I am here.
"I am fine Devraaj. My mind was wondering.""They are here" Yama said. "In Narak."
The three of them were standing at the top most wall of Hell. Lava came out from its middle. The scorched heat found its place in every wall. Yudhisthir could feel the heat at his disfigured toes.
"See putra, at the sideways of the gate, there is your family." Yama pointed to the rocky 'gate'.
There they are. Yudhisthir couldn't see their faces but could make out by their build up. I can't let them suffer like this.
"Son I know what you are thinking. But it is their karm which have bought them here. Now it is their dharm to accept what has happened. So should you." Said Yamraaj
" They did everything for me. Their lies, their emotions, their trauma, I am the cause. I don't deserve swarg too." Yudhisthir argued.
"Yes maybe they did. Maybe they didn't. How could anyone possibly know what's going on in one's conscience. And what is heaven or hell according to you?"
"Death is the ultimate reality of all lives of all worlds. Everyone lives just to find death one day. But the soul in depth wants something more. Always. Heaven-Hell is a place that the soul find purpose even after leaving one's body. If in that life, the soul doesn't attain afterlife, it again goes through the turmoil of birth-death until its destination arrives."
"Precisely yes. But are heaven and hell just places or a state of mind? They can be found on earth too. Heaven can be on your mother's lap,on your brother's trust,in arms of your love or the smile of your child. You can create heaven or you can be heaven for someone else."
Their shot of questions and answers went on for a while. Indra was annoyed. He thought of raining on the wall of hell. These Asurs will complain to Tridev then I have to face charges. Better not.
"Are you father-son Dharmarajs done with your karm dharm?" Indra complained. It was an open secret that Indra was not the biggest fan of dharm.
"Why are you here Yudhi? Tell me." Yamraaj said at last.
" To see my fami---Wait. There is a reason for me to come to hell too? What could I have possibly done?."
What wrong? I never uttered a lie--oh." I knew I have to pay for this. I told Gurudev that Ashwathama was dead. Even though the elephant, not his son,was dead."
It was the only lie Yudhisthir have uttered. This half lie left a mark in his otherwise white life."Let's go Indra. We know dharm is not your cup of tea." Yama said smiling. Devraaj frowned.
Indra and Yudhisthir ascended Airavat. Yama started his ride with Paundraka."So will heaven be different for me?" Yudhisthir asked while they came back at the doorway of Amravati.
"At first...oh you will know." Yama concluded.
Then the blinding light took all over them. Yudhisthir closed his eyes.
Hi readers! So this was more of a phycological and ended with a philosophical conversation about
Swarg-Narak. In the 100-parva classification more talks are their but I concluded it with my own words. Hope you liked it.
