So as the story is proceeding new characters are being introduced. Though all of these characters have played a vital role in the making of Mahabharat, some characters have died or exited the story at different times. So here is an list of characters present in the Mahabharat and there relations within:
Shantanu: King of Hastinapur Devabrat Bhishm: Son of Shantanu and Ganga Satyavati: Wife of Shantanu Chintragad: Son of Satyavati and Shantanu; died at 16. Vichtrivirya: Son of Satyavati and Shantanu; died at youth. Ambika and Ambalika: Two sisters and wives of Vichtrivirya. Dwaipayan Ved Vyas: Son of Satyavati and Parashar. Dhritarashtra: Biological son of Ved Vyas and Ambika Pandu: Biological son of Ved Vyas and Ambalika Vidur: Biological son of Ved Vyas and a maid Gandhari: Wife of Dhritarashtra Shakuni: Brother of Gandhari Kunti and Madri: Wives of Pandu Yudhisthir: Son of Kunti and Yama; eldest Pandav Bheem: Son of Kunti and Vayu Arjun: Son of Kunti and Indra Nakul and Sahadev: Twins of Madri and Ashvin Kumar Karn: Son of Kunti and Surya; friend of Duryodhan Duryodhan: Son of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari; eldest Kaurav Dushashan: Younger brother of Duryodhan. Note: Some texts provide that Draupadi had another daughter from Arjun named Pragati, but its apsent in the BORI edition.
This is not the end of the ocean of characters in the mighty epic. It is also not necessary that all these characters will be introduced. There might be references. All of them are not dead too. Just for the help of my viewers and for me too as my weird memory goes blank sometimes. Further to add, this names are not in basis of their birth or apperances. For eg. Duryodhan is older than Arjun and Bheem marries Hidimba before any brother. I have arranged them in a particular way to have a flow and continuation. Happy Reading!
