"Should I go look for Madri Bhabhi?" Vidur said twisting back.
"No Vidur. Let her be." Gandhari voiced.
Madri excused herself when Nakul and Sahadev's topic came. Everyone understood her turmoil and gave her privacy.

Gandhari's eyes suddenly fixated on Yudhisthir's disfigured toes. Her eyes softened with guilt and her brows curved in apology.
Did I do that?
That day, when Pandavs returned to Hastinapur as victors, her heart screamed of agony and suffering and her gush of tears made her blind fold slip a little, and she saw someone's perfect toes shining like golden-hour. Her mind involuntarily focused on it, and with a snap, she found that same set of toes blackened resembling a monster.
"JYESTHA!" Arjun's voice shook the court and gasps echoed throughout.
Yudhisthir squirmed in pain falling on Arjun's arms. It was Yudhisthir's skin that was staked against her anger. The fire of her anguish fed upon his toes.

"How many days had he gone without sleep?" Pandu looked at his son, who now slept peacefully under the canopy of trees.

"Probably since the Mahaprasthan." Vidur said.

"Do you know Arjun is named Gudakesha-one who conquered sleep?"
Kunti's voice filled with pride for their warrior son.
"But Yudhisthir..." Kunti sighed.

"Why? He used to sleep like a log back in the days."

"He had peace then Arya. Our son have suffered from insomania and anxiety half his life." Kunti remembered all the times Draupadi said how he would scream in his sleep. "He had nightmares and a huge sign of depression."

"Your sons have endured pain more they should have." Dhritarashtra said guilt filled his voice.
Pandu looked at his younger brother for an explanation, why?

"The scars that your body endure fade along with time, but the scars engraved on your heart doesn't just go away. Only you chose how to heal them." Vidur's wise words implied Pandu to nod.

"He even tried to give up his life several times..." Kunti muttered but Pandu heard it.

"What?" Pandu couldn't believe what he had left for his sons. "Several times?" He looked at Vidur again,
but alas, he was short of explanation now.

"Yes. After Rajsuya yagya when he dreamt that he would be the cause for destruction in future, after Dyut sabha he set fire on his hands, after war..." Vidur continued with a heavy voice.

"WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HIM?" Pandu gawked at which Yudhisthir broke out from his slumber.

"Who...wrong?" He said rubbing his eyes.
Pandu was about to scream at his suicidal son but chose to keep quite.

"Someone is coming." Dhritarashtra uttered flustering his hands. Everyone sat upright at his remark. His intuitions were never wrong.

"Can I join too?" A voice questioned

A woman of divine beauty walked to them. Her dark skin was embodied with red garment and pearls that complimented her looks. Stellar winds swayed melodies with her loosely braided tresses.
Yudhisthir walked to her, awe-stricken, as her black piercing eyes poured into his copper ones. He limped forward and hugged her
His voice squeaked both in joy and pain,"You came Draupadi."
