Falling. Hellfire. Mirror. Room
Nakul opened his eyes. His head was spinning as he was stuck in a ferris wheel. As he became conscious again he realized he was lying in a room. He raised from the floor and noticed he slept on a hay bed.
Why is this bed so similar? Where have I seen it before?
A mirror was placed infront of him. He gazed deep into his reflection. But unlike his whole life, he was unknown to his new self. He walked more close and touched the fire burn in his face."Nakul?" A confused voice echoed behind him.
"Sahadev !?!"
"Is it really true your chariot doesn't touch the ground?" Pandu was amazed.Yudhisthir was telling him about his brothers and his life, ignoring the hardships. He laid his head on Pandu's lap, eyes closed. All the Kuru elders sat together under a cherry blossom tree.
"Just like the time when little Yudhi came from forest and describing how he chased a rabbit while hanging from Jiji's shoulder and eating kheer." Madri smiled fondly.
"Really? He was like that?" Gandhari exclaimed bluntly.
"Why? How was he like?" Madri said.
"Not a speck of greed, lust, impatience, excitement. And hardly jokes and talks." Vidur said who was fond of Yudhisthir's calm nature.
"And anger-- unless circumstances bound him to " Dhritarashtra added.
Vidur knew what Dhritarashtra was talking about, the day when Kuru dynasty was cursed and the gods look upon them, the day of Dyut Sabha.
When the four Pandavs and Draupadi cursed the Kuru Sabha, Dharmaraj rose with a deadly glare. The sabha became dark and eerie as his anger terrorised everyone. Dhritarashtra could sense death knocking on the door of Hastinapur.
It was well known that Yamraj's son was capable of burning the worlds by merely with his gaze. No one, not even his brothers have seen his copper eyes blazing with fury ever before.
But somehow something pacified his wrath at the exact moment when he was in the brim of destruction. No one dared to ask him ever what made him regain his emotions.
