Lacey watched her son who was hooked up to many machines. When they first found out about Leukemia.

Now sitting with her parents watching Danie sleep in the hospital crib. He was okay. Her son was okay. She felt relieved of all her stress. She just collapsed into her parents arms and wept. Kathy was with the others in Maureen's recovery room.

Daniel's eyes fluttered open. Lacey held her healthy boy.

"I thought I was gonna lose you buddy." Lacey kissed him.

Lacey, Daniel, Olivia, and Elliot had a dance party in the hospital with the gleaming little boy.

Olivia sat down watching the girl who she gave life to. She couldn't believe that she had a family now. Complicated, but she didn't care.

Christmas

Lacey sat with her son at Elliot's house. They were watching Eli open his new gifts. He was super excited.

"Mom! Look what I got from Santa! A DS! It is 3D mom!" Eli smiled.

Danie was tearing paper up from other gifts.

Kathy rose and picked up a box and handed it to Lacey. Lacey opened it, it was a picture of herself. A frame that matched the family tree pictures.

"You are family and we need you on our tree to be whole. We have already added Danie." Showing her Daniel's photo.

"Thank you." Lacey smiled. Sipping her tea. She watched as Daniel opened a gift revealing a police car.

"You got a car like your grandpa." Eli smiled.

"I got a gift for Lacey." Maureen smiled handing her a jewelry box. "Sorry I ran out of time to wrap it."

Lacey opened it. It was a bone looking necklace, "It is so beautiful Maureen."

"It is to remind you of the time we spent as a family. Helping this cutie." Pulling the sitting Daniel into her lap. The little boy squealed.

Lacey placed a box in front of Maureen. Maureen opened it to reveal a locket with Daniel in it.

"It is to remind you that Daniel will be forever connected to you. I still can't thank you enough for helping him." Lacey kissed the boy's head.

"Ma Ma....Ma Ma..." The little boy smiled.

"That is right buddy I'm mama."Lacey smiled.

"Kathy this is for you." Handing Kathy a box.

Kathy gently opened the present revealing a knitted scarf, hat, and gloves of her favorite color. "I love it!" Kathy hugged Lacey.

"Mom? Can we drink hot cocoa?" Eli asked.

"Sure Eli." The boy skipped off with the twins. "

-Central Park-

Lacey walked with Olivia through Central Park both grasping each of Daniel's small hand.

"Merry Christmas Mom!" Handing a small box and revealing a necklace that said Daniel.

"You are someone I want my son to be mom. You show him from right to wrong." Olivia hugged her daughter.

"I actually have something for you." Giving her a box and Lacey opened it revealing her time with Olivia and Elliot. This year was a wild one. She met both of her biological parents. Her son is healthy and all smiles.

She just couldn't wait for the life ahead. All the sudden Lacey ran into a man, "I'm so sorry. The name is Charlie." He gave her the goofiest grin.

"Lacey...Benson." She introduced herself.

"Lace...I like it." He smiled. "It's different."

"Mommy!" Daniel ran up to her. " nana me a cookie!" He showed off a nice looking cookie in his broken sentence.

"How bought Nana gets you some hot." Looking at Olivia.

"He is pretty cute kid you got." He smiled at Lacey and she smiled back. "Here is my number maybe I could get you a drink?" He smirked.

"I'd like that." Lacey smiled.

-Elliot's house- January 18th

"Thank you so much Kathy for watching Daniel while I go on this date as she put on heels." Giving her son a kiss who was in Kathy's arms.

"I don't mind. I love this cutie pie." Kathy kissed him.

-Restraunt-

Charlie pulled the chair open and he pushed her in as he sat down. They dinner consisted of laughs and smiles. "Do you like kids?" Lacey looked.

"I love them. I want two." Charlie Rhodes said. "For a girl I want to name her Eleanor for my grandmother."

"Daniel is my son, you've met him once, but I hope I can introduce you something more." Lacey blushed.

-Home-

"I think I love him mom." She smiled. " He is so kind and understanding."

"What do you think about Daniel?" As Olivia held the sleeping kid to her chest.

"He wants siblings for Daniel, he really wants to hang out with Daniel and everything." Lacey danced.

Lacey took her son into her arms and sang a little known tune,

My head is saying, "Fool, forget him."
