san neatly folded the soft paper and placed it on his bedside table. his hands then made its way to his cheekbones, slowly wiping down the tears that managed to drip off his eyes. letting out a soft, light chuckle, he shook his head and proceeded to sink down into his bed, covering himself with the velvet duvet.

"rup.." was the last word he breathed out that night, before finding himself fall into a deep slumber. thoughts of the last letter he read roaming all over his mind.

san had his hands down in his pockets as he pulled one of them out to check the time.

6:30am.

he was aware that he's 30 minutes early for school, yet here he was, in front of the gates of the building.

he slid through and made his way up the beige stairs, spotting a familiar blonde head with a grin on his face.

"boo!" san said, popping his head from behind of the blonde male to see his reaction. he stared back at the black haired with a face of dissatisfaction, proving the point that san had failed in scaring him.

"you scared me there, buddy."

"oh well, i tried," san sighed as he walks in front of his close friend.

"so, yeo, what day is it today?" san spoke as he wrapped one arm around yeosang, who's slightly nibbling on a breakfast bar.

"uh..friday? why, any plans?" yeosang replied, completely oblivious on what san is on about. san removed his arms around the latter and placed a hand on his chest, pretending as though he's hurt.

"wow, so my best friend really forgot my birthday, unacceptable yeosang!" the blonde head widened his eyes in realization, earning a smack on the arm by the younger.

"happy birthday sannie! of course i didn't forget, i was just messing with you," yeosang hysterically laughed, trying to convince the other with his obvious lie.

"hmm, sure yeo, i'll let you off this time," san shook his head in disappointment as he looked at his locker from afar, spotting a girl with a letter in her hands.

her hands delicately, but quickly, pushes the letter through the many slots on the locker, before hastily making her way to a classroom. san chuckled to himself, finding himself smiling brightly at the whole incident.

"uh, earth to san? you alright there?" yeosang violently waved his hands in front of san with a confused look up his face. san snapped out of his gaze and looked at the other with a bubbly look.

"you remember my crush? i think i'm gonna confront her today."
