I swear I've drawn better lol.

"JANUS STOP HOGGING THE CART."

"Oh and your soooooo much better?" Janus rolled his eyes as he put a sewing kit in the cart.

Virgil looked down. "What's that for?"

"I'm gonna make Roman a voodoo doll then he can tether it to whomever he wants."

"Oh great." Virgil rolled his eyes as he grabbed a giant fluffy gold blanket and dropped it in the cart.

His phone started ringing. "Hello?" He asked nervously.

"HEY SORRY I'M SHOUTING IT'S PRETTY LOUD HERE. ARE YOU GUYS NEAR THE FRENCH MARKET OR SOULARD?" Jo's voice came through the phone.

"We're on the other side of the french quarter... Near a cemetery." Virgil looked outside the shop window.

"WHICH CEMETERY?! OKAY WELL I'M AT A MARCH WITH ROMAN AND REMUS DOWN BY THE MISSISSIPPI."

"What march?" Virgil asked.

She paused as the sounds faded in the distance. "Blm march. Anyways we'll be home after the food around two."

Virgil thought for a second. "Okay after food make sure you have enough room for cake. Also how are Roman and Remus?"

"They're fine. Roman is-"

"It's rude to talk about someone who's listening." Roman's voice shouted.

"Did he seriously reference-" Virgil started.

"Birds are singing and flowers are blooming." Remus sang from somewhere else.

"I swear to God. STOP IT I'M TRYING TO SHOP." Virgil complained. "Now where are the peppers?!" He turned to Janus who shrugged.

"I dunno about peppers Ve." Remus laughed.

"Why?"

"It's a bit...chilly?" Roman chimed in on the other side of the phone.

"Patton will be so proud." Jo giggled.

Virgil rolled his eyes and scoffed as Jo started laughing on the other end. "I'm gonna hang up on you now..."

"Okay. Catch you on the flip side you radical ball of sin! I'll be watching yoooou." Remus sang.

"THAT'S NOT EVEN THE CANON. THAT'S AN AU- they hung up." Virgil looked over at the smirking Janus who was laughing his head off.

"Oh shut up. We should get Roman and Remus something amazing..."

Janus shrugged. "Your boyfriend should get something nice from you."

"We're not dating we just like eachother." Virgil crossed his arms.

"Er right. My apologies." Janus grinned at him as he added an octopus plush to the cart. The emo rolled his eyes and put a bunch of chocolate in the cart.

"Let's see from Logan we got Remus a book of murders and Roman a theatre book, from Patton a Narwhal and lion stuffed animals, Emile got Remus a Spinel poster and Roman an adventure time poster, Remy gave Remus some spicy coffee beans and Roman giant red heels, I got Roman a guitar and Remus an octopus painting, and you got Roman the voodoo doll and Remus..." Virgil trailed off looking at him expectantly.

"Remus likes puppies right?" Janus asked.

"Yeah?" Virgil tilted his head.

"WE'RE GOIN TO THE PET STORE." Janus yelled.

"We're not getting him a fucking puppy." Virgil rolled his eyes. "We all already have way too many pets as it is."

"The hell we aren't." Janus grabbed the shopping cart and started booking it to the check out isle.

Virgil ran to catch up with him but Janus beat him to it. Janus quickly checked out as Virgil chased him to the car. Janus opened the Jeep and flung the presents in there before shutting the trunk and grabbing Virgil's arm to drag him to the pet store.

Virgil groaned behind him. "Jan why?"

The other one shrugged. "Beeeeecause. Plus I just really want a puppy."

Virgil gave him a look. "Its because YOU want a puppy?"

"Bingo." Janus winked at him and punched him in the arm as Virgil growled and shoved him.

Janus walked through looking at all the dogs before finding a small husky with a green eye and a blue eye. "I want that one."

Virgil sighed. "You mean you want Remus to have that one."

"Yeah sure whatever you just said." Janus waved him off.

After begging the staff, signing some paperwork, paying, and getting everything ready, they bought the puppy that they named Octopus.

One of the people working there named Rich (sorry anyone named Rich) gave Janus a look. "Your burn might scare the dog."

Janus looked down as Virgil looked over. "The dog doesn't seem alarmed by my friend." Virgil interjected.

Rich gave him a sour look. "I don't think he should have the dog. He named the poor thing Octopus!"

Virgil picked up the dog. "Well Octopus seems to like his name." Octopus wagged his tail and licked Janus's hand.

Rich scoffed at them. "You must be lucky. If you look like that your friends have to be ten times worse to hang out with something like you."

Virgil put Octopus in Janus's hands. "And your friends have to be ten times as stupid as you to hang out with someone like you. Oh wait you don't have friends-"

"Virgil let's go."

"Fine!" Virgil walked out to the car and sat in the passenger seat.

Janus sat in the driver's seat. "What were you doing in there? You don't even like me."

Vigil groaned. "Because people getting bullied sucks? I definitely don't like confrontation but when someone crosses that line..."

Janus nodded and handed his friend Octopus who happily laid down on Virgil's lap and fell asleep. They drove in silence before the quietness finally got to Virgil and he turned on some crime podcast on his phone that both of them knew.

Eventually they arrived at the bakery and headed upstairs to where Logan and Patton finished hanging up balloons.

Emile was setting out a giant chocolate cake and Remy placed down some coffee cake.

Janus walked in holding Octopus. Patton looked over and gasped. "OH MY STARS IS THAT A PUPPY?"

"Yep. It's for Remus." Virgil put his hood up.

"Well I'll be...dog gone." Patton adjusted his glasses as Logan groaned from the other room.

The bakery door burst open from downstairs as Roman's voice echoed up the walls. "WE'RE HEEEEERE."
