Diego gently put her down inside the car, but as he set the seatbelt on her chest, his cheek received a thunder fast slap from the girl he was helping. His face stayed to the direction where it was swayed to, before he looked down, "Don't come back you jerk, if I see you co—"
Becca was not able to finish her sentence when Diego cupped her cheeks with both of his hands, ignoring all the dried up blood on one side of her face and sealed the space between them.
Her hands were on his chest trying to push him off of her, grabbing some parts of his clothes loosing the strength after some seconds, she just tugged on his waist. She let him seize her lips and feel his warmth to her, they both tasted like iron and perfume but that did not stopped him on doing what he'd been longing to do.
He let her lips go, she cried all of a sudden, tear drops started to melt some blood streaks on her cheek as he wiped them using his thumb. He pulled her into an almost choking hug, her head on the top of his shoulder and his hands wrapped on her body and on her head.
"You will leave with them, okay?" he whispered on her ears.
"No." was all Becca could say consecutively as she whine under him.
"Hey, how about this," Diego pulled out from their hug cupping her cheeks as his other hand wrap the back of her head, "I will fight, and come back to you. I promise you, okay?"
"I will wait for you. Promise me you'll come back."
"Promise."
He kissed her forehead and pulled her on another hug, as if a cue, Lisa walked to them and called his attention, "You don't have to do this."
"I am who they want initially, Lisa, of course I have to do this." He crouched and held both Becca's hands.
"Okay, do your best. Maddie will try to survive and kill you, be carefull." Lisa tapped his shoulder and walked to the driver's seat of the car where Becca was sitting.
He stood up and planted a quick kiss on Becca's lips, "Be careful."
He smiled, giving a one last squeeze on her hand before letting her go and closing the door of the car gently. The window did not go down but as he backed away from it, he waved his hand
like a parent sending his child to school.
The wheel of the car turned and it started rolling away, "Maddie's waiting for you. Good luck."
