Chapter 5: Bring to work day

F/N's perspective

This morning has started out not in my favor. Why? Well at the moment I am sitting up with a bucket of cold water on the ground and smeared whipped cream on my face. Wiping some away I looked at the two pranksters laughing at the end of the couch.

F/N: "Great, now there's two of them."

Lily: "Hehe, I-it was kinda funny."

Kate: "Oh come on you knew this was coming."

F/N: "Ya ya, doen't top last times."

Kate: "Oh nothing will top that."

Lily: "What happened last time?"

Kate: "Oh well....

And I stopped paying attention to what they were saying as I grabbed the bucket and made my way to the kitchen. Dumping the water into a potted plant I had on a windowsill, the rest just went down the sink as I wiped my face down. After getting rid of all the whipped cream I glanced over with a small smirk as Lily was holding her sides laughing as Kate told her about the prank she had pulled.

F/N: "Glad to see she's comfortable around her now."

I said to myself as I rolled my neck a bit to get the morning stiffness out and made my way back over to the two.

F/N: "So, you like pranks?"

Lily: "Um, a little...."

She looked down a bit as I patted her head.

F/N: "Hey I like them too."

Taking a knee I got close to her ear before I whispered.

F/N: "Why don't we pull one on Kate when she gets back tonight."

Lily looked with a smile as I got back up.

F/N: "Alright, Kate you heading out soon?"

Kate: "Yup, got my gear ready to go, so your rooms all yours."

F/N: "Thanks, ok Lily go get changed, I'm going to do the same before we head to my shop ok?"

Lily: "Ok!"

She quickly slithers over to her room as I look at Kate.

F/N: "You two got along quick."

Kate: "Ya, she actually was the one to think of the whipped cream."

F/N: "Really now? Well I better keep my eyes out then for any more sneak attacks."

Kate: "You should, anyway I'm going to head out now, I'll see you when I get back."

F/N: "See you Kate."

We fist bumped before going out separate ways, her out the front door and mine into my room. Taking off the clothes from the day before, I changed out my bandana for a cleaner black one with my shop's logo printed in white on my forehead when I wore it. Making sure it was covering half my ears and hair as normal I put on a fresh undershirt and underwear before getting into my work overalls.

Right after a quick trip to the bathroom to freshen myself up I walked back out where Lily was waiting in a red T-shirt.

F/N: "Ready Kiddo?"

Lily: "Yup!"

F/N: "Alright then."

Reaching out my hand to her. Lily took it in hers as I walked with her outside and back down the same path we had taken the day before. She tightened her grip a bit as we passed by the alley that I had found her in. In response I gave her a little comforting squeeze as we made it down the remaining storefronts till we stood outside my blacksmith shop.
