Chapter 7: The Ex

F/N's perspective

F/N: "Rachel I don't have-

Rachel: "Time? I think you do."

She said as she raised an eyebrow. I looked at her for a moment before rubbing my head with a sigh.

F/N: "Sadly I know you won't drop this. Fine I assume your father left you."

Rachel: "You know him well enough."

F/N: "I think I would after what you and him tried to pull."

Rachel: "I have told you that he wouldn't-

F/N: "Ya keep telling me that, you sound like a broken record. Especially after what you did two days ago."

I said in a sour tone as I walked past her with Lily sticking close to my side. Rachel just huffed as she followed us two back to my car. Out of old habit I opened the rear passenger side door before opening the front one for Lily.

Rachel: "Seems you still have your manners."

F/N: "Just get in."

I said without looking at her as I closed the door once Lily was buckled up and made my way around to the driver side. After hopping in and taking a glance in the rear view to make sure Rachel was in, I cranked on the engine as it roars to life. Though I did take the blade off my back and put it in the seat behind me.

Rachel: "I'm surprised this still runs."

F/N: "I don't know if that was a insult or compliment, but I'm taking it as the latter."

Rachel: "Not that you would believe me if i told you it was."

Not really having anything else to say on that matter, I put the car into drive and made my way out of the parking lot and onto the main street that ran through the city.

Lily: "S-so, where are we going?"

She asked as she looked back at Rachel for a second before hiding in the chair when she looked back."

F/N: "I know a good place...."

I said as I trailed off as I glanced at Rachel through the rear view again as she glanced at me too.

Rachel: "Rose's?"

F/N: "Ya."

I stopped at a red light and turned to look at her. she was looking out the window with a small frown on her face. Lily looked at us two with a bit of confection, sense we weren't yelling at each other.

Lily: "What's Rose's?"

She asked as I turned my attention back to the road and continued to drive.

F/N: "It's the place we went on our first date, back when we were in a relationship."

Lily: "Oh....

After she trailed off the rest of the ride was silent before I parked and turned off the engine.

F/N: "We're here."

I unbuckled and got out, helping Lily soon after as Rachel followed suit and I locked it up before we headed inside. Though upon us entering we were met with a very cheerful satyr at the counter.

Stan: "Welcome to Rose's how can i- OH! Ms. Rose i think-

F/N/ Rachel: "We aren't dating."

I looked at her as she looked at me before we looked away from each other, Lily still staying on my side opposed to her. Stan just lost a bit of his excitement as he sighed.
