I woke up that morning to the bells ringing, signaling that it was time to wake up and that it would be time for breakfast in 20 minutes.

I look over to see Claire groaning and rolling over in her bed, shoving her head back under her pillow. I decide it would be a good idea to try and wake her up so I run to her bunk and jump on top of her. She pushes me off and moans quite a few profanities.

"Wow Claire, do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Riley mumbled, walking out of the bathroom with a toothbrush in her mouth.

We all continue to get ready and make out way out of the cabin at the time the five minute bell is ringing. We walk down the path towards the dining hall, laughing and talking about the things we are planning on doing today.

As we sit down at an empty table, I have my fruit cup and granola bar in hand.

"Jeez Kat, I haven't seen you eat that little since, well never," Riley states, looking at the food in my hand.

"I'm just not very hungry today," I nervously laugh, looking down into my lap. We all continue to eat in the awkward silence until the sound of chairs squeaking renders our silence.

I look up to see 4 freakishly tall boys sitting down in the chairs that seem way too small for them.

"Hey ladies, what's up?" Ashton asks, taking a huge bite out of his apple, his eyes glimmering nicely in the sunlight reflecting in from the window.

"Nothing much, just thinking about what I'm going to do today. I can't decide between music hall or kayaking down the river." Claire rambles on, seeming to only be talking to Ashton.

The rest of the table seems to let Claire and Ashton go off on their own conversation, as Luke, Riley, Calum and Michael all start talking about some band that they saw on youtube. I can't help but watch Calum as he smiles and laughs along to something Michael said. I think about the kiss, of course I think about the kiss.

It just seems that he would've rather done anything other than kiss me, which just makes me feel pathetic. I started thinking about all the things he could've hated about me, was it the nasty patch of acne on my forehead, the fact that my thighs can barely fit into a size 4 jeans, the possibilities seem endless.

I look down at my untouched breakfast and sigh, apparently louder than intended, because everyone seemed to look over at me.

"Kat, are you alright? You haven't touched your food." Ashton asked, giving me a sympathetic smile.

"Yeah, I just don't feel like eating right now," I push my tray into the middle of the table, and sitting back in my seat, twirling my hair in my fingers.

For the remainder of breakfast, everyone seemed like they were walking on egg shells, only having brief hushed conversations, and muffled laughter. I couldn't stand to not watch Calum as he socialized, the way his jaw line clenched as he got angry over the rest of the boys laughing at him.

As soon as the bell rang, indicating the end of lunch and beginning of the first free period, I jumped up from my seat and bolted out of the dining hall. As I was leaving I could hear someone ask "what's up her ass?" I think it was Calum.

Great, now he thinks I'm even weirder than before.

I was climbing for what seemed like forever. After I left the dining hall and went back to the cabin, I grabbed my hiking shoes and booked it for the mountain. I looked down at my phone and looked at the time, and I had spent 2 hours walking around.

I decided I should probably make my way back to camp because the bell was sure to ring soon, which means it would be time for 'team bonding'. Yay for me.

As I walked into the field that held all of the group activities, I could see that there weren't many people here yet. I decided to sit down on the bench farthest away from everyone, trying to get as much time to myself before I had to partake in all of this group activity.

As I sat down I waited for my friends to see me and after about 5 minutes, they had made their way to the bench I was sitting at.

"Where have you been all morning Kat? We were looking for you!" Claire asked, sitting down next to me, Riley sitting on the opposite side of me.

"I went for a hike, I just wanted to clear my head."

"Well you missed the best time in today's music lesson! All of the boys sang us a song and it was so good! Did you know they were in a band? Their name was... Oh my gosh I can't even remember their name. But here they come we can ask them right now!" Claire smiled excitedly.

As the boys approached us Claire sat up on the bench and waved.

"Hey boys, what was your bands name again?"

"5 Seconds of Summer! we aren't really popular; we've just done a couple shows and stuff," Luke stated, the rest of the boys nodding and agreeing.

"So cool, I'm definitely going to one after camp!" Riley smiled, Claire seeming to agree with her.

Soon, a whistle was blown and one of the counselors started explaining what we'll be playing today.

"Alright kids. Today we are going to be playing a game of soccer. So I need two captains, any volunteers?"

Instantly I see Calum raise his hand, the counselor sees him and waves him and another kid over.

"Alright, you guys go ahead and pick your teams, just call me over when you're done. I'm going to go help the younger kids with kickball." the counselor grinned and jogged away.

I already knew that I was going to be picked last, just for the fact that no one really knew who I was. Of course I'd spent plenty of years at this camp, but no one has seemed to notice me, which I don't really mind.

Most of the kids are chosen already, there are only about 8 people remaining, including me.
I look over to calum to see his team, which is filled with all of my friends. I try to give him a begging look so he will pick me, but he doesn't seem to buy it. I see Ashton punch him in the arm, making him sigh and look over to me, before he gives me a look and waves me over.

In my mind I punch myself in the face as I walk over to Calum's group. of course he would try his hardest to about picking me, he hates me after all.

The game gets started and Calum seems really good. he starts dribbling around other people and checking people to the ground. Over all, he looks really attractive.

I decided I didn't want to play, that I would just sit and watch. As I began to zone out, I was interrupted from my thoughts by people screaming my name. As I look up, my nose comes in contact with the soccer ball.

After the ball hits me, everyone is looking at me, seeming like they were waiting for me to react.

I reach up and touch my nose, feeling a warm liquid, which was nothing other than blood.

I pinch my fingers over my nose and stand up from the bench, Claire and Riley running over to help me. as we are walking away I hear Ashton's voice yelling "What the fuck Calum? I know you have good aim, you didn't just accidentally hit her."

I sigh to myself realizing that what Ashton said was right, It wasn't an accident that Calum hit me, he did it on purpose.

It was at that moment that I realized I couldn't let Calum get to me.

I have to fight back.
