With eyes of glass the boy watched on as he fell from the sky
Raven, raven where are you?
Where am i and where's the ground?
Everything is a blur and as he falls on broken earth,
dead grass surrounds him to comfort his wounds.
Beasts gather around to the smell of blood,
empty sullen eyes, they seek for the bird.
"Do you know where the raven is?"
The beasts show nothing in answer.
The boy quiets down, they growl and crackle,
they come closer and they feed,
vultures descend and they devour him, biting, tearing, mauling, scraping.
Tearing away flesh, pulling away innards,
till there was nothing left of him.
As a lone glass eye dangled in the maw of a wolf,
here's a blur of black above.
Majestic wings and golden eyes,
raven there you are!
