12: a cathartic feeling

i get a feeling

a feeling so old and rusty, it makes me feel anew

its the feeling of the ocean waves crashing in my ears

the sticky saline washing my arms

the dust motes dancing in the pale moonlight in the attic

the rocks shimmering, obsidian-like

the music notes crack,

the voices delude

the harp strikes high

the distant hills, misty lakes, smoky skies

a chill so cold and ancient in my heart

a chill of loneliness so crisp and yet so welcomed

i feel one with the waters

the hues make my eyes hazy

the calmness in the eye of the storm

it feels like home somehow
