Takagi-San. After the festival...

Hold me closer

On their way home, Takagi and Nishikata started holding hands. An old couple walked past and pointed out how happy they look. This reminds Nishikata of the Summer festival and it makes him blush, but he doesn't let go, instead, he holds her hand a bit tighter, and thinks,

NISHIKATA: (I love you)

TAKAGI: "Me too."

NISHIKATA: "How did you know what I was thinking?!"

TAKAGI: "I guessed, because of how you held my hand tighter."

NISHIKATA: "oh yeah, sorry." *blushes*

TAKAGI: No, it's fine."

And with that, they continued their walk home.

Things went on like normal for a while, until they went to the cinemas together, and saw the guy who flirted with Takagi on the first day. They tried to avoid him, but they bumped into each other leaving. The guy was with his girlfriend, but he still started to cross some lines speaking to Takagi. This majorly annoyed Nishikata who tried to punch him. Although Nishikata did a lot of push ups and was very fit, this was the kind of guy who was popular for being athletic and handsome, so he batted Nishikata away, but then when Nishikata came at him again, he punches him in the face and broke his nose. Both of the girlfriends pulled them away, but Nishikata got in trouble when he arrived home. The next day, Nishikata said,

NISHIKATA: "Hey Takagi, would you ever leave me for someone like that?"

TAKAGI: "What kind of question is that? Of course I wouldn't!"

NISHIKATA: "I know, sorry, it had just been on my mind."

Time went on, and as Valentines approached, neither Takagi nor Nishikata changed their behaviour. The day before Valentines, as they go to sleep, Takagi said she hoped Nishikata had something nice prepared for the next day. Nishikata panicked but did his best to not let it show and went to sleep.

The next day, Takagi had work, so Nishikata texted Nakai to ask for advice, he said to get her a romantic meal or something with a cute sentiment. Nishikata thanked him and went away to a shop. When Takagi arrived home, Nishikata is waiting and said,

NISHIKATA: "Hey so Takagi, I thought I might get you a little something for Valentine's day." *blushes*

TAKAGI: "Aw, you didn't have to."

NISHIKATA: "But you said you couldn't wait to see what I got you?"

TAKAGI: "Surely you know by now that was a prank?"

NISHIKATA: "TAKAGI!"

TAKAGI: "I'm only joking. So, what did you get me?"

NISHIKATA: "It's well, It's a photo album of our time so far..." *blushes more*

TAKAGI: "Aw thank you!

Later that night, Takagi was reading through the album, and Nishikata said,

"NISHIKATA: Hey Takagi, when are you going to sleep?"

TAKAGI: "Maybe, just looking through this album, do you want to look with me?"

NISHIKATA: "Sure."

They sat down together and looked through all of the memories. After another 10 minutes, Takagi fell asleep on Nishikata's shoulder. He didn't want to move so he just put the album aside and sat with her, drifting to sleep feeling happier than ever, having looked at all of their precious memories. The next day when he woke up, Takagi was gone. Nishikata got quite upset, because he had nothing to do and he missed Takagi. Once she got home, he said,

NISHIKATA: "Hey Takagi, do you reckon I should get a job?"

TAKAGI: "What brought this up?"

NISHIKATA: "Well when you go. To work I get lonely, so I could help with the rent, and distract myself."

TAKAGI: "Yeah, but then we'd see each other even less, and what kind of job would you get?"

NISHIKATA: "I'd try and get similar hours to you, and I'd get a temporary job like a bartender or something."

TAKAGI: "I guess, if that'd make you happy."

NISHIKATA: "Thanks, I love you." *blushes*

TAKAGI: "I love you too." *hugs*
