Chapter 8

So the next few chapters are going to be from the past. Because I'm sure you guys have questions about my story so this is to clear up any questions you may have. were going to start in Eri's pov.

My father and I were in the hospital waiting to be called for my mother. She was in labor with my little brother. I was getting anxious and so I started playing with my hair. my dad held one of my hands trying to comfort me. The doctors were walking around the other room then I saw this boy with two different colored hair. He looked like a candy cane. He was bandaged up with tears in his eyes. I let go of my dad's hand and walked over to the boy not noticing his father close by.

I tapped on the boy's shoulder to get his attention. I introduced myself to the young boy he looked about my age. He said his name was Shoto Todoroki. Todoroki sounded familiar but I pushed that thought away. I asked him why he was here and he said to see his mom. I asked if I could come with him. He said sure and we walked over to room 201. my mom was in room 203 so if I saw my dad heading over there I could join him and he even saw what room I went into so I should be fine.

I walked into the room with Todoroki and was introduced to Rei. she told me to just call her Rei to cause she doesn't like her last name. I wonder why. I introduced myself and we started talking about little things and how my mom was in the hospital as well. I explained that my quirk comes from the small horn on my head. Shoto told me his quirk was half hot and half cold. I had miniature stars in my eyes. I love studying quirks. He's got me really curious. I asked questions later but I turned to Rei and asked about her quirk.

I learned many things from them before there was a knock at the door and I saw my dad's fluffy green hair. I said "thanks for letting me hang out with you guys! it's time to meet my little brother! I hope I'll see you both again. I'll come to visit you as well as rei when I can. Bye!" I had waved to them when I got to the door and shut it behind me. I grabbed my dad's hand and walked with him to my mother's room. When we got to my mother's room we knocked then went in. I ran over to the bed.

That's when I saw him. I knew I was going to protect him with my life. When he opened his eyes they were bright green. I sat by my mom on the bed. I got to hold him for a little bit before dad wanted to hold him. When dad held him he started to cry. I gave off a giggle then reached for him again. After dad handed him back we had a staring contest because as soon I was holding him he stopped crying. I think it was because I looked like mother. But I loved him either way and no one was going to stop the bond I was going to have with him.

I smiled and waved bye to my mother. we had to go get dinner for us. It was dinner time and visiting time was getting close to being over. While dad went to get dinner, I went to the courtyard to pick flowers for Rei and my Mother. As I was picking small blue flowers a shadow covered me. The shadow was muscular. So I set the flowers I had already picked out for my mom. And turned my head to look at the person as I was standing up.

This person had red hair similar to a candy cane. I put a small smile on my face as the male scowled at me. I had a small but if fear in me as we opened his mouth to talk. "Don't speak to my son again. He is not to have friends with someone so weak." He spat out small amounts of smoke coming from his mouth with every word. I only nodded my head now terrified of the man. Tears started to come, I tried to hide them till I heard a voice I recognized.

"Stay away from her Enji. She is not someone to make me cry. Or you will be hearing it from me. Don't forget I know your little secret." My father spoke with a calm voice. He was angry I could tell, so I ran to hug him to get away from the redhead. I smiled at my dad as the redhead let out a grunt and walked away. After calming me down he helped me pick the Flowers that I needed and we headed back inside to see my mother. I asked the front desk for a vase to put the flowers in while my dad asked for a second one.

I placed the flowers inside the vase and filled it with water while dad did it with the blue ones. I placed the blue one on the benches in front of the doors. I went in with my dad and we had dinner with mom. I gave her the flowers and she thanked me. A nurse came in and said visiting hours are ending soon. So we ended our conversations and said bye to her. I went over to Rei's room with the flowers I got off the bench and went in. I gave her the flowers and wished her a nice rest that day and left.
