Chapter 10

She was already sleeping in my arms as I was walking home. I had shifted her into one arm so I could get the keys later. I stroked her head as I was walking up the stairs to my apartment. I would pull out the keys and unlock the door to walk in. I would open the dark house and turn on the living room lights and walk over to the closet where I put the extra blankets and open the door to grab a small blanket for her. I sighed as I went over to the couch and laid her down on it. I covered her with the blanket and kissed her forehead like her mother or father would and stroked her head and headed over to the lights and turned them off. I heard a mumble "Thank you mister..." and then light snores after I gave a tired sigh and went outside. I still had my shoes on. I remembered she's going to need clothes for tomorrow and I think the cat will like her. I climbed up the stairs to the roof and started heading over to her apartment roof hopping because it was a few blocks away.

Arriving at her house I opened the door and went inside. I noticed that there was still a small bloodstain. I'll clean it up later for her mother. I walked around only peeking in closed doors to find her room. Finding her room it had light blue walls and led lights in the corners of the room to light it up at night. She had a white frame bed with a nightstand by it with a small unicorn lamp. I smiled slightly that this child didn't have to grow up fast and become an adult. I walked over to her dresser and opened the drawers to get a change of clothes for tomorrow. I folded them together and headed over to her nightstand where I saw a small brush and grabbed that as well. I left the room after turning the lights off and heading to the kitchen to see something. I saw a cupboard open slightly and I went to go look at it. I walked over there and opened it more. It was completely empty but big enough to hide the small girl. I sighed they were a safe family always making sure the girl had a safe place. I closed it and turned off the lights and left the house.

I started roof hopping again back to the apartment and got home as quickly as I left. I opened the door to see Eri still asleep, so I placed her clothes on the coffee table and went to bed. She has to go visit her mom in a few hours and I could use some rest too. I left my door open after I changed so she woke up so she could find me. My cat was already cuddled up next to her. I had laid in bed and gone into a light and blissful sleep. Maybe 3 hours later I heard a small cry and got up quickly. Then I saw a small figure standing in front of the door with a small blanket. I turned on the lamp and saw the small child. I waved her in. She walked in and climbed up in the bed. She laid down and I started stroking her head to comfort her and we fell asleep shortly after.

I woke up feeling her still cuddled up next to me. I slowly got out of bed to make breakfast for her. After I had gone downstairs I opened the fridge and got some eggs and closed the door. I grabbed my loaf of bread and started toasting them as I started to cook scrambled eggs. I heard small shuffling and saw Eri show up still tired with her hair slightly messy. I told her to go get changed and her clothes are on the coffee table. I went and finished the eggs shortly after having the toast out. I went and put them together to make egg sandwiches and went and got a brush to brush her hair. Coming back with the brush she had gotten dressed and ready for the day. I told her to come and eat then I would do her hair. We ate in a comfortable silence. I finished eating breakfast and we went to the living room with the blush.

I had her sit on the floor as I sat down on the couch and started stroking her hair with the blush. I smoothed out her hair after shortly brushing it out after a few strokes. I had started braiding it neatly. (#dadzawa instinsints) I smiled as I placed a small elastic at the end of the braid. I put a small clip in after with a few flowers intertwined with the braid. Eri asked if she could do my hair and I nodded my head. I moved to the floor as I let her start brushing my hair as soon as she got on the couch. She was able to get my hair untangled gently. I smiled as I felt small tugging as she started braiding my hair. She finished it shortly after she finished we got on our shoes and started walking over to the hospital. I held her hand as we crossed many streets to get to the hospital. She wanted to see her dad first. So we got to the front desk and asked the reception where his room was. They said he was on the fourth floor in room 405. We thanked him and headed up there to go see her father.

We walked out of the elevator that led to the fourth floor and walked down the hall down to the room. She held my hand as we were passing other rooms. We got to the room and I knocked on the door to enter. We heard a faint come in and so we walked in. Her father was wrapped up around the head and looked to be upper waist. Eri ran over to the male and hugged him lightly. They talked for about an hour before Eri hopped off the bed. I thought I would introduce myself to the young male. "Hello, I am Shota Aizawa. I was the one to take care of your daughter while you were being treated last night for your wounds. I am here to tell you that Your wife will probably stay with family till you get out and you can go back to work. I will need both your permission to take care of eri while you guys are in the hospital. Just in case your wife can't take care of her while taking care of the newborn."

He nodded and spoke out." I will let you take care of Eri. But she needs to be able to take her home schooling still. My wife had a hard time with Eri when she was a baby so I really hope you can help by taking care of her." "thank you sir I will make sure she takes her classes and is fed well." I spoke to the male. We nodded heads as I walked back over to the door to leave. I bowed goodbye as Eri waved then bowed. We left and shut the door behind us and walked to the elevator.
