Chapter 44

Luke's POV

That night we were all (me, Charlotte, Ashton, Chloe and Amelia) sat around the sofa watching a film when someone knocked on the door. I went to open it. I couldn't believe my eyes. Jodie, my ex.

"What are you doing here?!" I said angrilly. "how did you find me?"

"Your in that band...just came to see you babes." she said.

"You lost the right to call me babes ages ago. just go away." I said trying to shut the door but instead she barged in. she walked into the living room where everyone was sitting.

"Luke....who's that?" Charlotte asked.

"My ex." Everyone had a shocked and confused look on their face except Ashton as he already knew what was going on. not why she was here, no one knew that but who she was.

"Awww who's that baby?" She asked pointing towards Amelia who was sat with Chloe.

"That would be my daughter. and Lukes." Charlotte smirked causing me to smile.

"Oh really? How...cute..ha." She said obviously stunned that I had a daughter. "well I'll be going then...call me luke." she said winking before she left.

"Did you know she was coming?" Ashton asked.

"Of course not! She just turned up!" I said sitting back down next to Charlotte. "Let's just hope she don't come back." I whispered.

"I'm gonna take Amelia up now...ill see you later." she said taking Amelia off Chloe and taking her upstairs.

Charlottes POV

I had just put Amelia to bed when I got a message from an unknown number.

From:Unknown: stay awake from Luke. or you will not like the consequences and do not, do NOT tell luke.

OMG that might have been from his ex. What were the consequences? Was she going to hurt Amelia. Should I tell Luke? She said not to. who shall I tell? Or shall I not tell no one? No one sounds good for now.

*next morning*

'Morning, you looked so peaceful sleeping so I didn't wake you but we had to go to band practice and Chloe's gone to visit her parents for the day. we should be home by lunchtime. Amelia has been fed and fell back to sleep. love you...L xxx' I read the note that was on top of my phone when I woke up. Amelia was still asleep so I took this chance to make myself some breakfast and watch some TV.

I was in the middle of making my breakfast when there was a knock at the door. I went to open it immediately wishing I hadn't.

"Where's Luke i need to see him." she said, Jodie I think her name was, barging past me.

"He's not in. please get out or I will call him." I said slightly scared of her.

"You wouldn't dare. look I don't see what he sees in you at all to be honest," she started grabbing my wrist really tightly digging her false nails into my skin. "but you will not tell him any of this. you will end it with him and if not, bye bye baby." she smirks letting go of my wrist as some blood started trickling down towards my hand. then she left. That's gonna bruise just like it did with Jack.

"Charlotte? You awake?" I heard Calum shout. were they back already?

"In the kitchen." I said acting like nothing happened.

"They sent me back, 1) to check you were okay and 2) to grab some of our notes that are in the- OMG Charlotte what happened to your wrist?" Oh I forgot about that.

"Nothing I just fell over...its fine. Do you want anything to eat?" I asked.

"I'm not falling for that ...it looks like hand marks...who's been here? You can tell me Charlotte." That's when I broke down into tears. Calum came and gave me a hug. "It's okay....I'm here now...whats happened?" He asked quietly. I pulled away from the hug and began to explain.

"Jodie came and knocked so I answered the door then she came barging in demanding to see Luke so I said he's not in and if she doesn't leave then I will call him...then she threatened me and said if I don't end things with him then it will be bye bye baby. I can't let anything happen to Amelia cal....i just can't... I would never forgive myself..so then she did this." I said looking down to my wrist that now had light bruising.

He just sat there obviously shocked a what I just told him. "she won't do anything. she won't hurt you again...ill make sure someone is with you all the time. I'm so sorry I wasn't here before." he said wiping some of the blood off with his jumper. "Your coming with me." He said standing up.

"What about Amelia?" I questioned.

"She's coming too...we can't just leave her here." He laughed.

"You can't tell luke. she said if I told him there would be consequences." I explained.

"I'll tell him... then you won't have too then if she says anything come to me." he smiled leaving the room. I quickly ran upstairs getting Amelia changed and into the car ready to go.

*at Calum and Michaels house*

"Calum why did you take so long? We were beginning to- hello!" He said coming towards me engolfing me in a hug. "why you here?" He asked obviously confused.

"She felt lonely at home by herself. didn't you?" He smiled. I nodded pulling my sleeve over my wrist. here's to a good day.....
