Chapter 46

"We were just hugging Luke." I said quietly. Why did he care so much? We are only hugging.... I mean it could've been worse. we could've been kissing...but I'd never do that to Luke. I love him.

"Just hugging cause hugs usually last about 3 minutes." he replied sarcastically.

"She just needed a hug okay? No harm done." Calum said.

"No harm done?! I'll go hug your girlfriend for minutes and see what you think yeah? Why would you do this? If you didn't like me anymore you could've just said." he said a little louder than before.

"I needed a hug and Calum was here so I have him a hug. Your Amelia's dad I'm not-"

"Well I'm not Amelia's dad am I? It's not even worth the bother." he said walking out of the room and out the front door.

"Talk about over reaction much." Calum smiled.

"No time for jokes Calum." I frowned walking into the living room.

"What was all that about?" Michael asked raising an eyebrow.

"He got angry cause me and Cal were hugging." I said quietly sitting on the floor with Amelia and some toys.

Luke's POV

I can't believe her! Does she not like me anymore? what have I done to deserve this huh? I was just walking without realising where I was going until I came up to a familiar black door. Jodies. I knocked before coming face to face with her. I didn't ben know what I was doing.

"Come in." she said standing to the side letting me in. i went into the loving room and sat down on the sofa placing down my coat that I wasn't wearing. "What are you doing here Luke?"

"I don't know. I over reacted and now she's going to hate me." I said quietly.

"Maybe it's for the best. we should've never broken up." she said leaning in. she touched her lips against mine but I pulled away.

"I cant. I have a girlfriend. I'm sorry I shouldn't have come here." I whispered standing up. I whispered a final "I'm sorry " before leaving. I've only just realised how much I over reacted. it was only a hug right?

Charlottes POV

"I'll see you tomorrow maybe?" I said hugging Calum goodbye. "oh and thank you for earlier." I smile before grabbing Amelia and placing her in Ashton's car. I climbed in next to her whilst Ashton and Chloe climbed in the front. We wade goodbye before going home.

"I hope you and Luke will make up." Chloe said turning around.

"So do I but I didn't do anything. you wouldn't accuse me of doing anything with Ashton if you caught us hugging would you?" I replied

"Of course not....its not like you were kissing. he just needs to know he over reacted." she said turning back around.

When we reached home I opened the door where Luke was sitting on the sofa. "I'm really really sorry I over reacted." he said hugging me.

"It's fine. it just kills me to know you think I would actually cheat on you. I love you luke. not calum, you. now let go cause she heavy." I said pulling out of the hug and taking Amelia out of her car seat. We were all sat in the living room, Amelia with Chloe, when the doorbell went off. "I'll get it." i said standing up. I opened the door to see her. again.

"Where's Luke I have his coat from about an hour ago?" She smirked. wait what? She barged in and went into the living room. "Ahh Luke I have your coat? You left it at mine...ill see you later." she winked before leaving.

"Is it true?" I asked not looking in his eyes. He didn't reply so I went upstairs to pack a bag for me and Amelia. I picked up her teddy and placed it in the bag, zipping it up and taking it downstairs. "Can I have Amelia please." I asked Chloe who handed her to me. I placed her in her pram with some blankets over the top and opened the door.

"where are you going?" Luke asked.

"Some where away from you." I said simply before shutting the door behind me. Truth was, I didn't know where I was going. it was 8pm and dark out and I had no where to stay the night. Right now I was just walking in any direction. That's until I bashed into someone.

"Charlotte? What are you doing out here?" He asked. it was Calum and Becky.

"Turns out when Luke stormed out he went to Jodie's house so I'm just looking for a place to stay the night. I think there's a travel lodge round the corner." I replied.

"You can stay at ours if you want." Becky said.

"I cant... I have her to look after, you don't want a screaming baby at 4am." I weakly smiled.

"It'd be our pleasure." she said. I nodded following them home.

*at home(Calum's)*

"You can sleep in our bed we can sleep down here." Becky said smiling.

"It's fine. I'll sleep down here. it's easier for her anyway." I smiled.

"Alright then. I'll see you in the morning." Calum said smiling before he walked upstairs with Becky. I'm guess Michael and Leigh are already asleep. just when I thought me and Luke were on the right track, Jodie has to come back and ruin it. I want to tell Luke about the messages and the threats but I cant. and I definitely can't now. maybe he would be better off with her.
