Allie's POV ~
"This is fucking awful." I groaned, breaking the horribly nerve-racking silence that was surrounding the main dining table.
Looking around the table, there was every emotion imaginable on display. Chris was smug, Ryan was giddy, Ghost appeared turned on as always, Ricky had on a very serious look on his face, AJ was beaming, and then there was Angelo who almost appeared to be incredibly complacent. Then, at the very far end of the table there was Layla. She had her head resting in her hands, looking like she just wanted to die. There hadn't been any crying today from her, at least since Ryan and I got back home, and it appeared now that pure frustration was taking over her.
"I think this is actually pretty fucking delicious. Don't diss on Angelo's cooking." AJ scoffed, pulling his dinner plate closer towards him.
"Not talking about the food, dipshit," I said with a roll of my eyes.
"Such disrespect. I ought to teach your old bitch some manners." AJ huffed to Ryan, his fragile masculinity on display for the table.
It was amusing, but my goal here was not to irritate some stoner. I mean, it wasn't not on the agenda, but it wasn't exactly the most important thing I had to do.
"You have such big and bad plans, and this is the best you can do? Scar some poor, young girl?" I questioned them.
"Fucking with this little one's mind is just the beginning of those 'big and bad plans' that you speak of. You don't mind, do you Layla?" Chris asked the hushed female who was sitting a few seats down from him.
When Chris got no response, he looked back at me, smirked, and said, "See? She's perfectly content."
"You're a psychopath." I groaned, putting my head in my hands.
"Your ex is such a sweet thing, Sitkowski. I wonder why you didn't work out." AJ mused, staring me down.
"He couldn't handle me." I stated.
"A bullet through your head would handle you fairly nicely." AJ replied with a sickening smile.
I stared him down and wished him an instantaneous death that unfortunately didn't happen. He was still breathing and I couldn't have been more disappointed. Chris seemed rather amused at our little spat, and Ryan seemed like he was almost oblivious to our entire conversation.
"You're not helping, Ally. Just give it a break for now." Ricky told me.
"Are you going to kill me?" A soft voice muttered, capturing our attention.
Everyone turned their heads to look over at the clearly terrified Layla. I don't know if my surprise beat Chris's that she was saying anything.
"If you don't give Chris what he wants, he'll take you out." AJ told her, no evidence of a joke in his harsh words.
