Grumbo (Grian x Mumbo) Fanfic

Ch 4

"Oh god, Grian, what's wrong?" Mumbo pulled Grian into a hug. 

"I... um... Mumbo..." Grian sighed and sniffled. "I... I know you're with Iskall... and that you really like him... and... and... Mumbo... I don't want to ruin our friendship.... but I.... I really like you... and I understand if you don't like me back... or if it's because of Iskall... if he's the one for you, I'm happy for you..." he took a deep breath as he finished explaining. His eyes were red, there were still tears rolling down his cheeks. He really liked Mumbo, and he'd realized that... but had it been just a bit late? 

"Grian I..." Mumbo was shocked. He was so happy on the inside though too... these were all his dreams coming true... not exactly the way he'd dreamed, but just the idea that Grian liked him the same way he did was so exciting to him... he wanted to kiss Grian... but... he didn't want to hurt Iskall... he knew he'd need to make a decision... and soon. 

"I get it... I hope you and Iskall work out good and-"

"No, Grian... I really like you too... a lot... but I don't want to hurt Iskall. and I kinda like him too. I need to talk to him... I just need to let him know I need some time to think about some things... I just really don't want either of you to feel hurt.."

"No matter who you choose, or what you decide to do, I won't be hurt... but I'll be here for you if you need it." Grian leaned in and kissed Mumbo softly on his lips. He immediately pulled away after realizing what he'd just done. "S-sorry..."

"D-don't apoloize, that was kinda nice..." Mumbo was blushing, and kissed Grian again, though their kiss didn't last long. "I'd better go talk to Iskall and let him know what's going on... I'll, uh, see you later!"

Grian waved Mumbo goodbye, and Mumbo flew off to go find Iskall. 

{With Mumbo and Iskall}

"Hey Iskall."

"Oh, hey love~! What's up?" He noticed Mumbo looked a little worried. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I just need to talk to you about something quickly..."

"Oh, sure."

Mumbo explained everything that happened with Grian (well, mostly) and explained in what state he was in with his emotions. He told him he needed some time to think about what he should do, and that he didn't want to see either of them hurt... he knew Iskall was a bit more sensitive, so he talked calmly and tried to explain everything with careful word choice. 

"I understand completely, Mumbo. And if you like Grian more, that's totally okay and I'll try and support you in every way that I can and hope that the two of you are happy together." Iskall told Mumbo.

Though, deep inside, Iskall was really hoping that Mumbo would be with him... he really loved Mumbo, and he didn't want to lose him. He knew they could still be friends, but he wanted to be closer to him than that...

Mumbo had been hoping that neither would feel offended based on the desicions he would make in the future. Whether it be to stay with Iskall, go with Grian, or just be on his own. 

{Back with Grian}

He couldn't stop thinking about Mumbo. He held Mumbo's old tie close to his chest, making it truly feel more like Mumbo was there with him. He loved Mumbo... but was prepared for whatever decision Mumbo would make and promised himself not to be jealous or hurt if he wasn't the one to be with Mumbo. 

Grian was so happy... he lay in his bed, smiling widely, thinking about their kiss from earlier. He'd felt something really special inside when he kissed Mumbo... nothing like anything he's ever felt with anyone before. 

{Back with Mumbo}

He'd already left Iskall's place; now Mumbo was thinking about what he should do... It would definitely not be a quickly made decision. The two guys were both just so amazing. He wasn't sure what to do at this point... he had some serious thinking to do.

Hey!!! Sooooo this WAS going to be up a few days ago, but I've been having some troubles writing as I have been spending a lot of time with meh fam this week. See, my mom is off work this week and I haven't had time to write without her being around or asking me to do something. This was the only but of time I've had to write since Sunday. And I prolly won't be back again till Monday again cuz the rest of this week is still pretty busy. 

Anyways, I really hope you enjoyed this chapter! I know this one was a bit shorter, and it wasn't great... but I'm trying to think of what to do to keep the chapters long without dragging out the same idea the whole time. 

Also, I'm thinking of creating two separate books that are Grumbo related; one would be Grian as a maid working in a cafe (I'm bored and have recently been reading a lot and I'm inspired lol), and the other as a oneshots book cause I have some different ideas that just don't fit great with this book. 

If you want to see these please comment cause I am totally up for writing these but I need motivation cause my stories don't get many reads and stuff so I don't wanna just write something if no one is interested. 

OH also I GOT A VOTE ON THIS STORY AND I WAS SO EXCITED CAUSE NOBODY EVER VOTES ON MY STORIES!!! soooo shout-out to Lexi_Fantasy for that thanks so much I seriously appreciate it :)
